All those blaming pulis for putting Periwinkle up front, what else would you have done with Kitson, Fuller, Sidibe, Cresswell all out injured or suspended. You then would have all moaned because he would have had to be forced to play Tonge or Delap front.
Why is there such a so called 'crisis' at the club at the moment, ok we have had a poor december but many have underestimated these fixtures. for example we've had Newcastle Away which was always going to be a tough match at an attimidating ground like St James', Fulham which we got a fair point from, Blackburn Away new managers always going to be tough, Man Utd who thought we would get away from that match only conceding one goal with ten men, and finally West Ham which was a mess i admit.

Agree with this post mate, but i would have started Kitson, at least maybe we could have got a gaol before them. But for everything else, well said ;D

Totally agree, Pulis is not to blame for the poor quality signings, the lack of depth in the team. I also agree it isn't Pulis' fault for the poor team selection throughout recent weeks and the pathetic long ball tactics.
I also agree that we can use the same old excuse everytime that we played such and such away and they're a good team.
Oh and we only lost by 1 goal etc... they are all good points and will also add points on the table.
So to summarize it's not Pulis' fault for the following:
Poor signings Poor tactics Poor team selections
And the following are ok:
Losing to good teams away from home Losing to good teams by small margins
All cleared up.

You are so wrong it's beyond belief.
After promotion to the toughest league in the world, we signed ONE striker. Kitson and Fuller were undoubtedly in the manager's mind as his first choice striker, with Sidibe (4 goals last season), Cresswell (played for the majority of last season on the left wing) and Parkin and Pericard (barely half a dozen appearances in the Championship between them) as his back up.
Mama has been a bonus, though an unexpected on in many fans' minds, but we have been at risk since the start of the season of being in the position we currently find ourselves in, and I'm afraid that is entirely the fault of the manager.

When things go wrong with any company or government, it is the manager that takes the blame, end of. The manager at Stoke City Tony Pulis is to blame for this inept performance. He is the one who gives out the instructions throughout the week and the way we will play. He is the one that has bought in these players. he is the one who should take the blame and take full responsibility. It is Peter Coates as chairman who has the final decision to either support Pulis with money to buy players, or get rid of him now before its too late. Its either sack him or stick with him, because it will be no good once the transfer window closes

I never saw you 'Spiderman' or any other people who share the same views on this message board slating Pulis, after games like Villa, Liverpool, Spurs, Sunderland, Fulham, Hull, West Brom, Newcastle and of course Arsenal all these games we got points.

Pulis decides who he buys Pulis picks the side Pulis decides the tactics Pulis is the one who tries to motivate players Pulis is the one to change things when it's not going our way
Which bit is not his fault then???

'Pulis decided who he buys' and 'Pulis decides who he wants'. Pulis can't force people to change there lives and move house but he can ask if players want to join.

Amazing, when we win he's the messiah when we lose he had nothing to do with it. It's often said how do you expect us to compete with ManU etc look what their team cost, well look at what Stoke side cost compared with Hartlypools, surely we should have won easily.

How can you slate Pulis we've reached the quarter finals of the league cup and got points from 3 of the top 5. WHAT DO YOU PULIS HATERS EXPECT?
1BollockBarry, Man utd were crap against us and Middlesbough but still won, who cares as long as we are picking up points who cares

It's just laughable that folk say Pulis isn't too blame. Week in and week out we get the same shite. Peter has backed Pulis to the tune of £20m and Tone has always said Peter would give him the money, yet because of Pulis failure to strengthen at the start of the season we are left with that useless fucker Pericard up front. He got lucky with mama, brought Kitson and played him out of position and left us with shite that we have to play. "Crisis"? 1 win in ten, the players not responding to the manager, moral at a low, out of the cup to a lower league side again!, still no away wins, only 5 goals scored in the last ten games, players fighting between themselves and embarrassed ourselves for the second game running... everything us hunky dory. I'm just happy that we have a manger who is faultless and thinks nothing is ever his fault. Only at Stoke
