After following "One-trick Tony" tactics to the letter --- for the whole of the game --- Stoke today succumbed to another mind-numbing, forlorn embarrassment against a cultured display by a motivated and skilfull team.
"One-trick" said after the match:
"we played aaard, but the boys had no luck. We knew Aaartlepool would be a massive challenge because they're a brilliant club with technically advanced players. When you're simply gallant giant-killers - like we were - you caaan't hope to beat the likes of top teams like Aaaartlepool"
"I thought wotsisname did really well but we missed my love-child today: Happy Slapper would have got at least 2 goals, guaranteed, if he ad'nt been aarshly sent off for the ear-clipping on Sunday"
"But we've another massive game next Saturday and I think we can beat Liverpool"
