If a player plays in a Cup competition, but his team is knocked out, are they still cup-tied if they sign for another club still in the competition (i.e. Henri Camara if we do sign him)?

Thanks jpm. I suppose the logic, from the FA's perspective, is that if it was otherwise it might distort a club's team selection before a match which they would hope to win.

Yep a player can only appear for one club in a domestic cup competition during the same season, so if we sign anybody that plays today (or indeed Camara from last night) they won't be able to play for us if we progress. They are only cup tied if they make the pitch so if they're an unused sub they are not cup tied.
Interesting today to see how many players up and down the country are left out / kept on the bench pending moves (to avoid them being cup tied or injured)

There's going to be loads of clubs really disappointed when they see Pericard in our line up!
