I had read few mosts early this week asking where Kitson was, not sure if its already been discussed but seems he is back in training --
"Pulis will make a late decision on whether to start winger Liam Lawrence, who has been sidelined for three months with an ankle injury he sustained when he tripped over his pet dog on the stairs.
He said: "Liam has trained with the group for a week now and I would think he will be involved on Saturday.
"Everybody knows what an important player he was in helping us to get to the Premier League and it will be nice to have him back.
"Dave Kitson is also making progress and returned to training, but this weekend might be a bit soon to consider him. We will wait and see."

This weekend is the PERFECT time to consider Kitson, even for 45 minutes....we are positively anorexic with front men at the moment...and with "no imminent signings" (TP's words ) then we need to give him a 'lesser' important game to attain some match fitness in view of the pending 'poo' game, in the absence of any reserve fixtures! What exactly does Gerry Francis advise TP on ??? Whether he should take full fat or half fat milk in his tea? Edit: Otherwise we're lumbered with PERICARD for the forseeable (i tried desperately hard to not mention him, then...but he's like vomit...i have to get it out

True SS i'm just concerned that no match play could disadvantage him when placed under pressure, such as against liverpool! ....and i'm selfish and don't want Periclown taking absolutely any credit for what our squad achieve (watch him score a hat trick now i've said that )

I think Kitson with one leg would be preferrable to periwinkle

...Nello up front would pose more threat than Pericard plus he can stay on his feet!

He stands outside the main entrance at every home game about an hour before kick off talking to different people.

Heavy pitch coming back from a knee injury makes me think Kits won't play, shame as we need him.

Why not play Soares up front with Cresswell and at least have a bit of pace up front against a lower league side.

I've seen him recently a couple of times up 'castle. chatted to him a month or so back. Bless him, didn't seem quite all there. his memory was real bad I think the man is a true gent, and an absolute legend. Long live Nello

If the physio team say he's ready for the squad then the knee shouldn't be a problem, well normally but this is our medical team Give him 15-20 mins pitch time, you can't sen him in against Liverpool cold from a layoff.

stokie25 are you a clown? how long have you been supporting stoke? i will give all my support to whoever pulls on the shirt regardless if i think they are any good or not. on your advise we would throw in kitson half fit so running the risk of further injury so where would that leave us next week in a far far more important game [v.liverpool]

i'm not suggesting that we play a half fit player at all, i'm saying that if he is back in full training, some match time, regardless of how long could be benefitial to his rehabilitation, and since we have no reserve fixtures, today would prove an ideal opportunity I DO support all our squad, but take exception to players who seem to abuse this club and show little passion for us except for when they are on a running down contract What bearing that has on how long i've been a Stoke fan, i have no idea ???
