Interesting to see on SSN that Routledge has rejected Cardiff (cant blame him either!!) as Villa have agreed terms with another club?? Could it be Stoke?? Dunno if hes up to the Prem but certainly has the pace and skill we are lacking.

Hmm ... perhaps. I like him personally but he's not exactly a Pulis type player is he now?

I’d love to see someone like that at Stoke. Small, nippy, quick winger with the ability to beat players or Creswell………….

I mentioned this over a month ago now, We went after a season long loan but it was rejected as Villa wanted to cash in and sell him, It wouldnt suprise me as we've watched him on several occasions now, Im sure we would have put a bid in but my money would be on QPR getting him as there offering silly wages to anyone that'll sign at the min and he's from london anyway so it all makes sense

I would'nt say we are rich?? I think Coates has to be applauded putting his money up front- big gamble! I would not be surprised if we ended up further in debt to the tune of several millions by the end of this campaign??

Yeah I know but £300k is being bandied about in piffling terms now when at one time that was a huge amount for us. It'd make a massive concrete erection in Bill Bratts Y fronts too if he could get hold of that sort of money too. It's life and death to some clubs. Still, fuck 'em. We earned it what we've got now- all of us at Stoke.

I'd take him without a doubt. As already said though, QPR seems his likely destination.

True that is mate yeah- it is a weird one nowadays that 300k is a sum that used to be a huge ammount for Stoke to be spending!! Hope we get him personally- here's hoping!!

Why would we want a pacey, trickey winger for just £300k when we have Cressy who is a pacey, tricky winger Striker Oh well never mind, if reports are true then with him & Lita we are only missing/missed out on 2 good squad fillers( in Routledges case : maybe a bit more) for a combined £600k. ??? We also have D Pugh, so we would'nt want a reasonably priced Routledge would we. Oh well, Never mind, it's becvause we are only buying better than what we have got....oh, hang on a minute I hope we've got somthing damned special lined up

I wonder if the Radio Stoke bulletin is just lazy journalism and another non-story from them
Pulis has had weeks to build his list of targets. I hope that isnt the case and has left it until the window has opened to start compiling it
At this point I would hope we are going down an already prepared list and speaking to players/agents/clubs

Could he be another one that gets dismissed by us as a "shite signing", but comes good for Hull - like King, Botaeng Geovanni?
