considering our worrying form and no bloody strikers id say our need is a bit greater than every club in the prem. could you imagine any other premier league team playing a striker in the calabre of peretard saturday???? no chance!! a striker should have been in signed and sealed today

even if we had signed a player today he couldnt have played on Saturday as the registration rules are different for the FA Cup
i.e. it makes no difference if we sign a player now or next Thrusday/Friday
if we dont sign at least a striker on loan for teh Liverpool game then that will be poor.
all the same going off full bore when there has been a grand total of - particularly lame too - signing in the whole division is at ad OTT imho.

Stop blarting
Coates has already spelled out who we will be bringing in.....
which is exactly what we think we need - three strikers/wingers with pace
They will be players from the Prem so that means we have no option but to wait on their owners
If Everton, (who have no strikers) wanted Fuller then they would have to wait on us
The alternative is overseas players but we are (like it or not) just building up that network
Coates could maybe pay well over the odds to break the logjam - but thats up to him
Loanees might help - but its not the best way to blood them

We do need somebody in before the next game, preferably a striker or winger. We are really, really threadbare up front, even if Kitson comes back.
Even a quick bloody loan with a small fee would do.

do you think it is that easy to just get a striker in to sort out our problems up front?
If it were then management would be a piece of piss....

kingdeano do you think it is that easy to just get a striker in to sort out our problems up front? If it were then management would be a piece of piss.... as a matter of fact i do mate, weve had since august to put deals in place. after sundays debacle they should have been working around the clock pushing them through, at 4 oclock sunday we knew fuller was missing for 3 games, sidibe is injured as is kitson! even if it was a quick 300k signing for lita, or a player on loan, anything would have been a start, but to say signings aint imminent just shows we simply are pathetic off the field as much as were becoming on it

Do you really believe that Pulis thinks that Perry is capable of taking on the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea - errr no FFS!
It looks like Kitson will be available alongside Cresswell for the Liverpool game with (maybe Camara )
Not ideal but tell me who is available on loan who is going to be better than them pair?
Bear in mind that at least half of the Prem is competing with us for those relegation spots and won't be too keen on giving us short term help

Why can't we get Thorney in quick time for the short term, he's way better than Pericard even still That should'nt be to difficult, he would'nt demand a big wage either. Thorney still knows where the net is and if Windass, Barmby, Keith Andrews and vince pericard play in this league then so can Peter Thorne easily!

FBS- if pericard can play in the prem then so can my nan! and shes been dead 10 years, she might be a bit rusty but im sure she would be better than that useless prick

here we go again!
"we will only sign players that will improve the quality of what we already have and will not be rushed. We have irons in the fire, we have made discussions through contact with their agents but we will not be held to ransom, Ive got a t'riffic bunch of lads here and I dont want to disrupt what we already have."
FFS Tone lets just go crazy

Trouble is, if we want say, Harewood, Villa won't let him go until they have gaurantees of getting say, Bellamy. If we want Camara, Wigan will want to make sure they HAVE somone coming in for definate. Like another prem manager said the other day, it's the domino effect of waiting 'till the first club get's their man before they release theirs to us, and they we release say Pugh to Cardiff for example. Annoying i know, but until everyone else starts making sigings left right and centre, everyone just has to wait and see. A good, reasonable point that everyone else chose to ignore.

I just hope he is not hanging onto deals that fall through at the last minute. TP was unlucky with a few of his targets last transfer window.

If this is true (which it clearly is), why did he complain last week that he wished the window was open earlier... if he's not going to get anyone to do the biz in THAT WEEK??

These windows really do crrep up on you. The managers should be give more notice so they can have more time to prepare so they can hit the ground running. Why can't we speak to clubs in early December and negociate before the fooking window opens. We know what we want so why not do it now. ???
