Left and right wingers with pace.
That's all we need, anything else would be a bonus.

we need 2 strikers, one similar to Mama and one similar to Fuller, in other words Harewood and Dindane

A midfield general with the impact of Gerry Taggart. 2 pacey wide men with goals in them. 2 strikers............ with goals in them Not a lot to ask for I know, but then again I'm not greedy. ;D

I think that recent events highlight that we do need another forward. We cannot be left in a position where Pericard has to grace the field. Wingers would be fantastic, but we need goals.

Two wingers would give us other options as this would enable us to play Kitson to his strenghts.

we need 2 strikers, one similar to Mama and one similar to Fuller, in other words Harewood and Dindane I really can't see Harewood as a Mama. I think he'd be a fish out of water there. I've never thought of him as a targetman type who'd be able to come close to giving us what Sidibe does. He seems the type who thrive on goals and hanging on the shoulder of the last man. And I just get the feeling the selfless running, and competing for ball after ball in the air, 30 yards from goal, would grind him down, when it came at the expense of goal chances and time in their area. If we're going to persist with the Mama role, it'll be very interesting to see if we bring in a like-for-like Mama replacement. Genuine wingers could mean that we could get rid of the Mama role, but I can't see Pulis going for it....

Two Strikers and a rightback and we'll be fine.
Forget your widemen, Pulis doesn't play likethat.
Lawrence and Tonge will do for me.

Two pacey wingers would be very nice and would even mean we could have a plan B (ie play football on the deck) if plan A failed. However, at the moment top priority must be at least one if not two strikers. Anything else is a bonus.

I do agree wingers are the priority, but i also think at least one defender should be purchased, i know we already have a fair few defenders, but i look at some of our defensive performances and see problems, Sonko has been suspect on several occasions, as has Cort, and Higgy has been hit and miss of late, the defending at Blackburn was poor at times, and there was occasions at Newcastle and west ham were the defending was suspect aswell.
One more experienced defender would be ideal.

I can't understand where this Harewood playing the Mama role has come from? Surely Harewood, Dindane and Camara would all be seen as players to challenge Ric if we are to continue with our long ball game. If truth be told I have quite a few reservations about all three of them. EDIT: Sorry FM ... I've just noticed that you've made exactly the same comment on another thread that I've only just read.

1 striker & left winger is the minimum
2 strikers & 2 wingers,a creative midfielder (never happen under TP I know)two full backs,a keeper, another centre half heck any players that are better than what we have in any position will be fine!
if we dont sign a striker & left sided player (not squad players either) I think most Stokies will be very unhappy

Hermann Hreidarsson would be good for me, and Wayne Routledge anyone? (Tin hat on and waiting for the bombardment!)

I wouldn't mind Routledge at all. Hreidarsson I'm unsure about but he can't be worse than Sonko!
