"Stoke chairman Peter Coates has revealed plans to create an extensive list of overseas contacts as part of his bid to strengthen the squad in the future. Lens striker Aruna Dindane is one player who has already been linked with a move to the Potters during the January transfer window. Coates hopes the club will soon be in a position to attract several more names from foreign shores. "We are building up a system where we've got contacts who can tell us what's available around the world," he told The Sentinel. "You build your knowledge to enable you to bring in players from both Europe and further afield. "(Manager Tony Pulis) understands we have to look abroad because the pool of players in the UK is insufficient to get the quality players we need, so we've spent time and money building up these " Looks as though Arsen Wengers worldwide monopoly on young talent is about to end!

We are slowly beginning to get the whole world covered. We still need someone for Africa and America. Not much point bothering with the Sub continent (India/Pakistan) etc cos them buggers are playing cricket 11 months of the year and can't be arsed with football

Can't think of any Thais in pro Football, Hanibal. An untapped market??? Not wishing to get into any racial stereotypes argument, may I suggest that Thai's aren't noted for meeting TPs criteria for players, and they may struggle with work permits. So given the hard on he seems to have for Rudolph expect a 2 year unsuccesful persuit of their star player en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thailand_national_football_team

We've got people at the Salif Diao academy in Senegal, at Salif's invitation as well. We are only just starting to do this????????????? wtf!! Surely it would have been on top of our list of things to do on day one? We've not needed to do it for years, we only needed Iceland for all our top notch players at bargain prices.
