for me...it's not New Years eve..it's transfer window eve...i know what i'm more excited about Oh, and i have 2 kids fullof christmas chocolate and snot I also have a daughter who's started the terrible 2s! Wife working and I'm stuck here. I was invited to my brother in law's for PS3 action and a drink, but it usually ends up with my sister moaning her bag off about the blokes playing on it (after 10 mins) and it should be what she wants before kicking us all out after midnight because she cannot be arsed. Funny that, when it is party at my house we normally get the beers on, everyone enjoys Rock Band/Singstar till when pissed out of our trees until the sun makes his appearance as the guests fall out of my house..... Hence I can't be arsed to go and listen to her moaning.

Bogus, at the risk sounding shallow, don't worry bud. Look at the stars at midnight and you'll see your dad having a beer in the great pub above. Those twinkly lights are the angel smokers in the pub shelter ;D Oh and if you can't see them... it is because he is in the smoking parlour and the clouds of smoke are adding flavour to his pint ;D

Sacked off a New Year's Eve party in favour of a curry, final episodes of Peep Show, now sitting in bed with wife, two cats, son asleep in the other room and typing nonsense to a load of people I've never met. Got to love The Oatcake.
Happy New Year all you potters and may your hangovers be but a slight headache.
My wife is now reading this over my shoulder and bossing me about pressing post. I'm the first person to be nagged inside the Oatcake.

We went up to London, this time last year, but put off by parking problems. Usually stay home because of fear of drunken drivers and, tonight, absolutely freezing down here. A warm house and too much food, seems a good idea and I'm just whizzing through this, before enjoying Russell Watson, on TV, and wishing him a much healthier year ahead.
