GET BEHIND RIC AND CHEER HIM ON HE KNOWS HES DONE WRONG OH AND GET HIM A STRIKER TOO TO WORK WITH. I FOR ONE WILL BE CHEERING HIM ON! DONT HEAR ANY SCOUSE FANS SAYING FUC GERARD OFF NO HES NOT COST EM ANY POINTS YET BUT IF HE GOT SENT DOWN (WHICH HE WONT)HOW MANY WOULD HE COST THEM THEN! Lets not forget this was by no means an isolated incident, Fuller is an excellent flare player ,his skill cannot be questioned, however he his definately not a team player and i on many occasions question his committment, he often frustrates me walking around hands on hips, the manager himself has said as much, but he is cut some slack due to his undoubted match winnig potential. However his record this season to date is six goals, seven bookings, one sending off, all in fourteen appearances, not good in my opinion. What Fuller did on Sunday undermined all what Stoke are about ,team spirit and togetherness and nothing i have heard from Fuller since has done anything to heal an undoubted rift, we may say we cannot survive without him, i have real concerns we can survive with him, once team spirit is broken you can paper over the cracks but it will resurface again, i believe Fullers out burst could cost us dearly wether he stays or is sold. As for the club expecting to much of him and running himself into the ground i am afraid that does not impress me, for ten grand a week its the least i expect, i do not feel sorry for him at all, there is and cannot be any player bigger than the club, there is no i in team, we can all have an opinion on the incident, but for me you cannot defend the indefenceable, just because he is a top player , he needs the other players support no matter who he is, he may have just lost that, unfortunately it is to the detriment of Stoke City, like it or not. As for Griffin i cannot comment as i do not know what he said to Fuller, but surely as captain he has the right to approach and speak to players particularily one who appears to be shouting at him for making a mistake, instead of restarting the game, i did not see any player shout at Fuller when he put one over the bar v Man Utd, he does not appear to embrace the win as and loose as a team mentality which the manager has worked so hard to drill into his players. I have not seen any of are less talented players raise their hands to a team mate and i very much doubt i will as for Fuller, i cannot say and there lies the problem.

YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE BLIND TO fullers misgivings, and do not appear to understand the nature of what he has done and its effect on team spirit, read the above again, the other incidents are nothing like the same , i do not agree with you at all, but happy new year Stokie.

Seem to recall Adebayor headbutting one of his own players in a match last season, which is probably a slightly more serious incident, yet he still seems to be playing for Arsenal without too much problem.
There appear to be some who will be happy with nothing less than Fullers cojones nailed to the main entrance door and his head on a spike on the roof of the West Stand.
If Fuller takes his punishment and the club, the manager and the players are prepared to move on and put it behind them, then why shouldn't we?

I think we just need to let it pass, let the club deal with it in there way as they know both players better than any. As fans, we need to back Fuller and not show any sign of negativity towards him. I for one think he is embarrased and I think TP will have told him in no uncertain terms what he expects of him in the future. He is surely to important to be sold.

s7oke: well said.
Having watched the video, this truly is an incident that's way overblown. Yes, what Fuller did was wrong and it is not something you want on display, but if some of the guys here think people don't occasionally lose their cool like that in practice then you don't know much about competition, fire and wanting to win.
I am Jamaican, and so I may have my bias, but I can't help but think that some people are blowing this out of proportion on purpose. I mean, the Guardian went so far as to report that Fuller walked back 30 yards to slap Griffin. This was clearly false. It also omitted mention of the fact that Griffin came all the way from back in defense to exchange words with Fuller in the center circle. You don't make that trek to say "Ricardo, don't tell me to clear the ball ever again, thank you." Fuller said Griffin said something rude and disrespectful to him and I believe what he is saying is true. It doesn't make what Fuller did right. Still, not many guys I know would sit idly by as someone is storming towards them saying rude and disrespectful things.
I believe Fuller likes and wishes to remain at Stoke. He has apologized for what he did and I think Griffin should do the same. Doesn't sound like Griffin should captain...and I suspect that in the future Griffin will not repeat that bitch defensive play...particularly if Fuller is on the field. I mean...he was playing like someone who just ran from out of the stands and onto the pitch. I understand he was unfit (recovering from a knee injury?) but still wanted to play.
Just the same, I think Fuller does well at Stoke. If the management trades him because of this it will be a bad decision. My suspicion is Kitson will not be as effective. It will be a loss for Fuller, because I believe he has never wavered from Stoke after he left Southampton and he likes the place. However, it will probably be a bigger loss for Stoke.

The sack Fuller nonsense is a ridiculous over reaction. Knock their heads together, fine both (Fuller more than Griff) and get on with it.
