He is a liability and largely to blame for yesterday
1. He should have accepted he was unfit and gone offf at half time
2. the defending was schoolboy like and led to the goal
3. he sholud never have ran 30 yards to get involved with fuller- if he had ignored it the incident would not have happened- chances griffin would have been subbed soon after
4. he clearly said something to the ref that led to fuller being ent off- if he had laughed it off a yellow at worst- someone suggesting he saw a mark on his face is laughable
5 his reaction after the sending off as mentioned on MOD was a disgrace and as bad as fullers slap- to gesture your own man off the pitch!! defend that griffin lovers certainly unbefitting of the club captain
ALSO HE IS USELESS- AS shown last season at derby he is out of his depth- fuller goals may keep us up but griffins defending WILL NOT
TIME TO GO!

As wrong as the whole incident was, lets not get carried away. This should be dealt with properly and then everyone should move on and get on with the difficult task of staying up. Yesterday I felt ashamed that it had happened at my club but I'm now over it and as long as apologies are made and sincerely meant, then a line should be drawn under it.

How about you justify what Fuller did? How about how you, as captain, would react?

i am not justifying what he did but griffin could have prevented it happening- he wanted to get involved- but fuller had a point the def was diabolical- anyway until yesterday most people seemed to agree griffin was a liability yesterday confirmed it

he wanted to ge involved because hes the captain, he probably wanted to calm him, or see why he was still going off on one instead of continuing play.

Post by WorkingclassHero on Dec 29, 2008 14:32:09 GMT
He was clearly not looking to calm him down....... Both as bad as each other. Problem being ones our star player, the other's a liability fullback.

Griff.....Liability - one of the star performers this year. Wish we'd had him on boxing day, may have finished the game with 11 plaers and a point. Fuller is the best player we've got unfortunately, but he is a fuck wit, and this aint the 1st time his temper has got him and Stoke in trouble. If aint red it's at least a yellow each week. My guess would be when griff was walking up to him..he was telling him to shut his fucking trap and get on with it, just as the captain should.

At the precise moment of the incident Fuller should have been on the centre spot re-starting the game not 15 yards inside his own half gobbing off at his captain

"he's been immense this season"
do me a favour .. he is the weak link in our defence time and time again and could quite conceivably be outrun by a tortoise.
That said .. getting rid of him based on yesterday's events is just plain daft (and the same can be said of Fuller)

I cant believe that some of you Stokies would rather get rid of a player that gives his all to the club, is captain, has more Prem experience than any of your players than get rid of a player who shows a complete lack of respect for his fellow players, his captain and delivers a half decent performace what 10 times a season if that??
Fuller is a joke, he should be sacked for that kind action, why couldnt he wait till after the game and then have his little tantrum...
He embarrassed your club yesterday!

An absolute pile of shite!! He wouldnt leave the pitch and was still arguing with YOUR TEAMS CAPTAIN hence the gesture to get off the pitch, he wasnt the only one.... Fuller is the one to blame, why did he need to say anything to the captain?? If anything this should have been left till the end when they are in the closed off dressing room and even then slapping your captain would still be out of order but at least it wouldnt be aired in public....

B) I would have slapped Griffin for that pile of shite defending - having run my bollocks off for 50 odd minutes
