Ric was an absolute arsehole today Wilkinson was an arsehole on Boxing Day 2 precious points lost in part due to these two.
Pericard useless. Cresswell, runs his socks off but not good enough. Pugh honest player but not good enough.
BUT The biggest culprit of all Mr Tony Pulis.
He is technically inept. Individually players have made some bad decisions once in a while. Tony Pulis has been making crap decisions week in week out so he can take some of the flack. His team selections, formations, substitutions and so on have at times been woeful.
Stand up Mr Pulis, start doing your job or go.

Wilko and fuller cost us two points in space of 3 days because of stupid idiotic behaviour and its pulis's fault ?
sorry not for me, pulis doesnt tell the players to go out there and do things like tht, and with two points from them to games every1 wudda bin praising pulis..
ric and wilko should apollogise to the fans that went to the last two games, the last 3 days have cost me enough money to see them 2 make my club look like a joke.

Discipline starts with the manager. Ours is very poor at the moment and it is costing us dear.

Stupidly, discipline is a key component of our play and has been the thing that has brought results against Liverpool and Arsenal. I made this point earlier. Since when do we lose discipline?

Don't get this argument at all sorry. Can't blame TP. If poor discipline is a sign of a poor manager then Ferguson, Wenger and Don Revie must be the worst ever managers in British football.

march we can afford their discipline issues when we have their points for us its unacceptable unprofessionalism and if truth be known we are now the leagues worse offenders , as are all these late goals, Derby, Hull, West ham, I agree with you that ill discipline is a negative factor that is bound to cost us points. Unfortunately, Plan A requires our players to be in the faces of the opposition for the whole game and we demand it of our players when we attend games. The bookings go with Plan A. The late goals are a big problem, because we pride ourselves on our fitness, so it is a lack of concentration and you are right to label that as being unprofessional. ManU, Arsenal and Revie's Leeds were famous for snatching late wins. Today Fuller and Griffin let all of us down with an appalling display of petulance, but I don't think I would blame TP for this act. Fuller and Griffin are grown men, to behave as 2 year olds is down to their weak personalities. On a slightly different note, I do wonder what the psychologist said to the two of them, perhaps he is the one to blame.

Telling one player in a whole squad that his chilishness is OK when no one else has the same privelege is the real problem.
Doing so publicly - on more than one occasion - doesn't help matters.

Just a criticism of the header here. 'The top' is PC who, to his credit, - and I've said so, on many occasions - has never interfered and always left his managers to do their own thing. How he feels now, however, with the club a laughing stock, can only be imagined. 'In-house' must be a very interesting place. right now.

Sadly on this board blame rarely starts at the top. When we win, people are clamouring to declare Pulis a football genius. When we lose the same people claim it cannot be his fault.
My view is that the reasons for the recent problems are wider spread than can be sensibly laid at the door of one person. However, as manager of the club, Tony Pulis is accountable for results, performances, player discipline and purchases.
This season, results have been up and down, as has discipline. Purchases are another arguement. Performances again have been variable.
For his awful selection, and for blowing money on players that he won't play, leaving us in the position where we have a league one striker on the wing and a sunday league quality player up front, only Pulis can be blamed.

My feeling is that there are too many folk with the words "fuck off down the vale" pasted ready and waiting into their clipboards EDIT - BUT - Pulis gets away with stuff that no other manager ever would. If tango-man or mowbray fielded Pericard people would be laughing themselves into A and E, for some reason it's OK for Pulis. The same goes for blowing money on players to play midfield, and then plonking Cresswell there.

themikester. Are you taking some blame? Are you not one of the 'thousands' of fans that after the leicester game and right up to boxing day were saying i hope Dicko and Wilko break Ronaldos leg? Are you one of the thousands of fans that clapped him off after nearly giving you and thousands other what you had wanted for months?
Didn't think so.

No excuse for the abuse, as is clear from the Admin thread at the top.
Do you think though that Tony holds the accountability for the fact that he would rather play the useless Pericard and move Cresswell into a midfield position rather than field players he's paid over £4m for? Is it OK to play an injured Griffin over a fit player we've paid £1.5m for?
I do. When he gets it right I'll praise him, and have done. Recently he has lost the plot in my opinion.

Easiest thing in the world to pick faults with things. This league will go right to the wire. If we bring in some good players we will be doing so more than a lot of the clubs around us who have no money to spend and even have to sell to keep going.

Utter Utter tripe - go back and look at some previous threads. And it's not just about winning either, I've given plenty of credit in games where we have tried stuff and it hasn't worked. I've praised his handling of the media, most of his signings and plenty more. Some people cannot accept any criticism of the manager at all. I suppose I'm being unreasonable on my comments in bold above???

If tango-man or mowbray
Thing is if you look at their boards they don't have anything like the systematic abuse that exists on here of Pulis, to pretend that you can't slate Pulis when every single day there are abusive threads about him is just laughable.

You're way, way quicker to stick the boot in than you are to apportion any credit where it's due, and hugely slow to acknowledge that the myopia extends to both sides - for every "Pulis is the messiah" merchant there's someone for whom the bloke can do no right and is to blame for everything from global warning to the demise of blue smarties.

Again, I see your point. The thing is, you can slate him and talk rubbish, yes, but the thing that bends my head is that if you make what you feel is a reasonable comment, that criticises something he's done, you are far more likely to be met with some pathetic comment, than to have someone disagree with you and offer an alternative perspective. My point about Mowbray and Tango-Man stands. No-one on this board would think that them playing either Cresswell on the wing of Pericard anywhere on the pitch would be a good idea. I'm yet to get any answer on any thread as to whether anyone can justify the seemingly stupid selections recently.

The "Tony can do no right" brigade do piss me off as much as the other side, and I genuinely believe I occupy neither camp. Playing Pericard is still unforgivable though.

As if any fcuker knows who Mowbray and Tango are picking on here? This is a Stoke board, go and have a look at Hull and West Brom boards and see if there is the abuse that exists on here where not an hour goes by without another load of bollox being written about him in thread after thread. And then you expect people to be able to sensibly respond? Don't you think people are just sick to death of this shiite? Several of the people who serially give out abuse would not be tolerated (banned) on Hull and West Brom boards that is the difference. One thread my backside.
Anyway - I don't want to start any personal rubbish, so lets cut it there. You and I both know that your claim about me being on here every day stirring it up is untrue (I don't come on every day, and am only on today cos I'm looking after the kids). And I know that I've never once called for Pulis head.
If you disagree go off and use your experience of academic research and find some empirical evidence to back up your evaluation.
