Regarding the Fuller/Griffin incident. Best player hits captain. How the fuck do you deal with an incident like this? Fuller has badly let down his teammates, manager, fans and most of all himself. Is there more to this than meets the eye? Are there problems within the squad that we are not aware of? Is the Everton rumour actually true and is Fuller trying to get a move by doing something so idiotic that his position becomes untenable.
There seems to me a discipline problem within the squad. However, we have worked so hard over the last 2 matches and got nothing but suspensions and a place in the bottom 3.
As for Fuller,he must surely apologise to Griffin, the team, Pulis and the fans for behaviour that is beyond belief and so idiotic that it could be the catalyst that sends us on a irrecoverable slide down the table.
Imagine the confidence of the players at this moment. How attractive a proposition do we look now to players we hope to sign? This incident can have MASSIVE implications for this football club. The way Pulis deals with this incident is crucual. Does he back his captain and force Fuller, our best player, out of the club and if so, for what fee? Or does he back Fuller and incur the wrath of the rest of the players who have been so let down by Fuller after working so ridiculously hard for the club.
Is there any middle ground that can be achieved here. A result that means that Fuller is severely punished by the club but also realises just how wrong his actions were, gets his head down, apologises and gets back on his game. This would maybe serve to show Griffin that Fuller has been rightly punished and also the rest of the team but also means that Fuller stays at the club and helps us stay up.
In my opinion, I really think that Fuller has grown more and more unhappy with his more or less lone role up front and things not going his way. Maybe clubs have started to sniff around, he has got itchy feet and maybe talked to Pulis about a move. He could have been told no way, and so he does something so stupid that the club have no other option but to get rid and give Fuller his wish but severely weaken us as a team.
The spirit of the team that was once so so strong, mainly responsible for getting us to the Premier League, has suffered a devastating blow. The morale of the team must be rock bottom and Pulis really has his work cut out to try and recover this devastating situation. I just feel that he may have lost the dressing already and that today it has all come to a head with the actions of Fuller.
God help us.........

Well in my opinion he needs to drop Whelan because what i have seen of him so far (overall) he's shite.
All of you questioning Pulis for playing Cresswell and in the same breathe questioning him not playing Whelan is beyond me .
Absolutely no difference in the quality of the two them.

Exactly. Whelan was shit before he came, (ithink i was one of very few on here that wasn't wanking over his at Sheff Wed). Can't cross, can't pass forwards. Anyone want to say what he does do?

There's no doubt Pulis has got some big decisions to make to sort this one out. How he deals with this could determine our season

Ok Ken but how does Pulis deal with the incident today to ensure that the club still has a chance of survival and dramatically improves the morale and spirit of the squad? SGS

what does pulis do start playing players in their rightful positions and stop playing pericard ffs we have 3 wingers on the bench and he sticks pericard on and puts cresswell left wing again its so annoying he must be the only person conected to stoke to see this as a right descision.

give the lads the morning off tomorow...for time with their families due to the busy sechudle latley and give them chance to cool down. Then give them a talking to in the morning and hope things have settled. However, i can see mr fuller leaving after this incident.

i thought whelan was excellent against utd, only bettered by paul scholes and i thought he looked ok today. IMO he's the only one who can actually pick a pass out and take control of game with his passing, as most of the other midfielders run with the ball into the opposition or pass/hit it long to our strikers.

Fuller needs to be disciplined im afraid, cant get away with it. It needs to be sorted out behind closed doors & differences sorted out. we cant keep letting these stupid things affect our season. We cant afford to sell ricardo, because pericard is just awful & cresswell cant finish. Just dont know where stoke go from here, if we were still in 13th/14th we might attract some new signings of quality, but who wants to sign for a club in the bottom 3?

I think it will actually be helped by Griffin. As the captain he will forgive Ric therefore shifting all the reponsibility to be grown up and do the right thing onto Fuller.
I haven't seen the footage yet so cant pass judgement but if what Radio Stoke say is right then Ric is in for a tough week. Through all the last few matches he has been falling over in the area easier than normal and reacts more to the slightest wind up. I fear that he is thinking aout generating a move to an established PL club whilst he is being spoken of in better ways that he used to when last in the top flight with Pompey.

He goes out and buys two front line strikers....he then confines Riccy to the bench until he realises his stupid behaviour is unacceptable.
