Lest we forget this one. As clear a penalty as it's possible to get, yet they get the free-kick!!!!!! uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dT3deV_201wI haven't witnessed such a concerted effort at cheating for a long time. Two blatant attempts to get Fuller. No wonder he was pissed off yesterday.

The blame lies firmly with the cheating cuntrag of a ref and his liner's.

it was no penatly (or free kick) and Fuller should have buried the chance in the 1st minute.

As far as I can see, the ball is spilt, Fuller is legitimately onto it and is pulled down.
Look at the second angle. Fuller did not knock the ball out of his hands.

Fuller should have buried the chance in the 1st minute. That's not true billy, it was a very difficult chance and he was off balance, having to side foot it. He did the best he could.

I've seen him score more difficult chances That's as maybe but to say he should have buried it is unfair.

Of course some people will say that this wasn't a penalty, but imagine this happening in the other end and swap Sorensen for Van der Saar and Ronaldo for Fuller.................Would a penalty been given? Think we know the answer to that one, don't we?

Fuller is pulled down by Van der sar if you look at it again.

I think it would have been a harsh penalty, but the fact he gave a freekick is just nonsense!!!

Definitely not a penalty for me, although I appealed at the time. This better view says it was just one of those things.
VDS dropped the ball and Fuller legitimately challenged for it. It was neither a penalty nor a freekick. The game should just have carried on.

The ref couldnt let the game carry on as we were in or around their box and that would mean we may have scored so the ref had to blow you see.

Chirper - that's a tad cynical.
Are you suggesting that the referee chappie wasn't totally impartial?

That was a stonebanking penalty if ever there was one.
Even the fuckin goalie didn't appeal for an infringement. Now correct me if i'm wrong but if that's a certain foul then instinctively you appeal for as such.
Yet another bottler in Foy who was no doubt telling Neville that you and your team-mates owe me one there.

I thought it was stonewall penalty too but having seen this replay, it was a very difficult call. There's another aspect to it which should be taken into consideration. Just before that happened, two players clashed heads in the middle of the park and Foy was more concerned with that incident than the clash between the keeper and Fuller.

watched it many times in slow motion, which the ref hasnt got,my first reaction was maybe a penalty but def no penalty but def no free kick either.i think some of us are inventing porkies to make us sound like we shgould have won.a draw would be fair with rooney and pussface sent off.

watch van der sar's right arm. A defo pen but its against the scum so would n't be given.
I thought the ref was totally on their side all game.
Rooney should have walked for the elbow on A.B. Faye. Imagine Ronaldo being elbowed like that. He would have been rolling rounf the floor for some time, taking the occasional glance at the ref until the card was produced.
Ronaldo should have walked for his stamp on Wilko. Again imagine it being the other way around.
The FA won't get involved because it it Man Ushited. If it had been Stoke I have no doubt the FA would be involved.
Imagine if Wenger had been Stokes manager???
They should have been to 9 men by the time they scored and I have no doubt we would nt have got nothing from the game.
CHRIS FOY YOU WERE SHIT!! I HOPE YOU WERE EMBARRASED AT YOUR PERFORMANCE WHEN YOU WATCHED IT BACK

Lets move the action to the other end of the pitch. Tommy drops the ball and then lifts his arm to catch Ronaldo's leg. Would the decision have been any different?
I think that the ref would have given the pen and sent Tommy off the field.
For those of you who don't think it was a pen, listen to the so called experts on Match of the Day. They claim there doesn't even have to be contact for a foul these days. If a player who has a chance to get the ball, has to take evasive action to get out of the way of a player who cant get the ball it is a foul. In our case, the only player who was going to get the ball was Ric. VdS could not get the ball and yet he clearly touches Ric. That is a penalty, stonewall, no arguments. For those of you with long memories. a penalty was given against Banksie in 1972 at Upton Park when he pounced on the ball, but barged into a WHU player as he did.
My reaction after the game was that we were cheated. After watching a couple of reruns, my view is the same.

The fact that we've seen slow motion replays and are still arguing is good enough for me that it was fair enough to give no penalty. He had one look at it with 3 bodies in the way and when i saw it the first time i was worried Rici would get a second yellow for the challenge. When i saw it again you can argue it's a penalty and no way was it a freekick against but i reckon it would have been a fortunate one.
How the linesman missed the Rooney elbow is a different kettle of fish altogether mind.

At the beginning of the clip Foy and Neville embrace each other while Foy whispers sweet nothings into Nevilles ear.

th05. At the other end would it have been? I'm sure you'll agree there would have been no hesitation from the inept referee.
Also, from a professional referee it is an incident that should have been given. BUT HE CHOOSES TO GIVE THEM A FREE KICK AS A GET OUT CLAUSE
