I am leaving for West Ham now, so thought I would just add a quick note to say that Amdy Faye was excellent yesterday and showed again, that he is a decent player.
Whelan was excellent as well, and my thoughts that all of our midfield players are decent individuals is strengthened even more.
We now need some wide men, and hopefully find a way for each of them to perform as a partnership.

Agree thought he had a cracking game, not half a bad player as some people on here think he is.

definately motm for me. I thought the midfield did really well yesterday, they were much better in possession than when we've played two out and out holding midfielders.

Strange that his form is all over the place.
He's had a couple of stormers, a couple of decent games, and several absolute stinkers.

I think he's great, He was excellent against Villa and Arsenal. Think he struggles with Diao as they get in each others way. He is more mobile than Diao and I'd pick him every game. Him and Whelan everytime for me. We actually keep the ball when Whelan and Pugh are playing

I too thought he was a strong candidate for MOTM. Tracked back well and broke up the play.

So pleased you started this thread. I thought Amdy was awesome. Absolutely top class display. With Pugh and Whelan we looked alot better balanced side. Cannot agree with comments lower in the thread re Cresswell and when Liam gets back whic will hopefully be soon I hope he replaces Rory. We have to move on now from the long throw and his inclusion cannot be justified otherwise.

Top Marks to both Whelan and Faye. I never really liked Amdy and wondered exactly what it was he was bringing to the team, but in recent weeks hes been excellent. Midfield for Wet Spam: Amdy . Whelan . Tonge Soares . Lawrence

Yep Amdy was excellent yesterday, i think he's been Ok. since signing, but yesterday gave me some re-stored faith, i think all of our new signings will improve the more games they get under their belt.

His best game so far. Perhaps we need to step back a bit with our criticism. Couldn't fault any player against Manure. Thgought dDes looked tiudy when he came on.
