I always said from the start of the season that if we were still in it come Christmas time January would be vital to how our season will pan out.
I was praying that we would be in a decent position league table wise so there were as few variables as possible in any transfer dealings - we would have the money, the shortlist and the appeal.
Question is - despite our healthy points return and the fact there is only 5 points separating 8th and 18th will us being in the bottom 3 come transfer window opening harm our chances in getting the players we want? Or will players surprise us/money make their minds up?
One positive, rumours aside, is Lawrence being back in contention, he alone will be like a new signing, and a good one too if he can get anywhere near the form he showed last season...
