Alan Shearer: If the ref saw Ronaldo kick out he would have been sent off. Yes Alan, only 1 problem with that moronic statement you fucking prick.... The ref stood watching it happen. Motd decide to ignore the Rooney elbow, the 2 (should have been) penalties. I am sick of this bias towards Man Utd, really am.

thats the 1st time iv seen the replay of rooneys elbow on abdy, that pissed me off. its an absolute joke that the liner didnt even flag. just shows the bias of the officials toward the top 4

It wasn't ronaldos fault that wilko got sent off, no was shearer trying to make out it was...it was a stupid, needless, immature challenge that Ronaldo and everyone else in the gound could tell he was going to amke so cant see how ronaldo was clever

Alright he played well but a total stupid tackle which proboably cost us the game does not deserve clapping in my book. It could have easilly been avoided and I think the only way it could have and should have was to sub him earlier

I was quite surprised they showed his attempt at decapitating AbFaye, ... although they didn;t highlight the incident in the sofa analysis.

Ronaldo clever, he deserved a red card first for kicking out, is that clever then? I am terrified when i think of children seeing this man as a role model, will the future of football be a load of twats jumping around on the floor with reds being handed out for contact? Who knows.

Rooney was an absolute disgrace, and I can absolutely 100% guarantee if it had've been Faye on Rooney he would have been sent off. I mean the linesman was 3 yards away, right in front of it. I'm so pissed off with this frankly embarrassing bias shown towards the top four, it really isn't fair.

agree middo, they were both needless fouls. especially the 2nd. like they said, wilko had ronaldo sussed all game, an it showed that it was gettin to ronaldo, wilko should have kept on doin what he was doin and frustrating him

To be fair the coverage made it look like we had the lions share of the game when our % possession was only shown as 32%.
There wasn't any pro manchester bias in the coverage so lets not get our knickers in a twist about everything!

Also there's absolutely no excuse for the ref not seeing Ronaldo's kick out, he was looking directly at him

My only gripe was them not showing the clear-cut penalty incident when Van Der Saar spilled the ball and then fouled Fuller - just couldn't understand that at all. It was a MAJOR incident and a criminal decision from the referee.

the best shot of the crowd was at the begining, when they focused on that bloke holdin up that calsberg sign with the slogan "Alex Ferguson: Probably the best referee in the world"

Just watching it now Gary Linekers introduction, " for Man Utd's first ever visit to the Britannia" They showed Rooney's "swing" in a replay The highlights showed we had a good game didn't even show the Fuller penalty incident

Mick,
Interesting that our possession was less then one third, as the Guardian, today has us at 75%!!
I'm pleased to have been one Stoke City fan who did not clap Wilko off. In fact I forecast it at the end of the first half, already with one (iffy) booking, when I hoped he would not return.
He gives his all and tackles as if his life depends on it. Fortunately, however, his life does not depend on passing a ball, accurately, or always timing a tackle. For effort, he comes near the top - and yesterday's game was one of his best - but he is not up to PL standards.
A reminder, too, that he is no longer the "youngster" some still think he is. Time for Wilko and Dicko and a few more, to go.

Look on the brightside iof Wilko's tackle, he's only banned for one match, and the game that he played yesterday was a cracking all-round performance b himself and the rest of the defence. How often do we see Danny Pugh, Danny Higginbotham, Abdoulaye faye, Ryan Shawcross, Glenn Whelan and even Amdy Faye, easily skipping past Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes???
Never is when.
We played excellently, and really took the game to manure and gave us supporters something to really cherish(almost). Ronaldo set the scene for the red and that is just football. We have to get past this barrage of people always critiscising everybody after a dodgy decision. As long as that decision hasn't cost us valuable points, then I'm fine with a narrow 1-0 loss to World and English champions, aren't you?
