cant Stoke play like that every game ??? I really have to say, losing to team of that caliber isnt quite so bad when you watch your team play like they did today. Save for a lack of a good striker, we had every chance of winning that game. I do think the Wilko sending off caused major problems and the whole tempo and style of play changed of course, and that may have what caused the confusion on the goal. Play like that on Sunday, and next week etc etc etc, and expect a few more needed points

Maybe the 38 cup finals cliche applies, the way we played today and v Arsenal and Liverpool is the standard it's going to take to keep us up and somehow the players are going to have to keep this up through the more routine fixtures. So, something's going to have to change in the team's psyche and quickly.

Nice to see you post something complimentary fromafar07.
Although still expressed in a kind of complaining way....still, it's a step towards balance.

credit to the manager ?? perhaps. but credit to the players too. after all, regardless of what strings a manager is pulling, the players are the ones putting it on the pitch !! hence my why why why question. do it again Sunday and the 3 points we desperately need right now will be there for the taking ! play like they did the previous 5-6 games and, well............

For as long as I can remember, whatever division we have been in, we have always raised our game against teams near the top of the table, and somewhat struggled against teams where we would expect a safe 3 points.
