I didn't actually tell the twins Santa was going to have to be up early cooking their Christmas dinner but I kind of thought they'd work that one out.

My mum and step dad stopped doing this when I was about 6, my bedroom was being renovated, so I was kipping on the floor in my elder sisters room and we were still awake (but pretending to be asleep) when they brought the presents in. We opened everything, ate all the chocolates, and then attempted to cover our tracks by putting the packaging back in the wrapping paper ..... after that all presents were under the tree, bar a small stockings worth
