Baker by all accounts was a very very hard man.
anyway good luck GT
by the way is it just me who thought Stefan was OK,especially given the buttons fee/wages he cost
Gunnlaugsson, hoekstra,Staniuk,Gunnarsson were all class signings & would all be assetts right now.
Bjarni wasn't as good as those but he had his moments & was the most consistent provider of goals we have had for many a year
Dadason was the turkey signing - if we had signed Arnur thats summer & played 442or 433 instead of the 532 we would have gone up as Champions barring a similar injury curse that nearly scuppered the play off season the year after.

I agree that Gunnarson was a great signing for £600k and certainly wouldnt be outshone by any of our lot at present. Arnurs stay with us at the end of his career was all too short because of injury and its a pity we couldnt have had him at the start of the Icelandic experiment. He showed enough class in that spell. Christ could we do with a player like him now. Not sure about Dadason. He scored a goal every 4 games-not quite good enough but he was dogged by injury and there was the fiasco of his long awaited debut. (Didnt he roll straight in to our season from a Scandanavian one). Who knows what he may have done with the right prep.

Top guy, good manager. And anyone who thinks Bjarni was 'useless' needs to get their head examined. Gudjon deserves a bit of luck IMO, hope he gets it at Crewe!

Now if only the vale had appointed Boskamp we really could have had some great Praise n Grumbles to look forward to

Well we did (eventually) go up with him. BUT his record with us justified the decision to sack him.
Be interesting to see how he does I suppose.

Speculation he wants Kavanagh as his first signing... crewealexandra.rivals.net/News/pgArticle.aspx?artid=13642_4707398&id=28Thordarson who jets in to the UK on Tuesday to start his new job will be handed a transfer kitty to spend when the window opens on the 1st January and Sunderland's Graham Kavanagh is believed to be high on the list of people he wants to bring in.Who next? Nicky Mohan? Einar Thor Danielsson?

'Well he got off to a good start '
Thought Dario was in charge yesterday! Doesn't Gudjon take over next week?
Nice to see him back- huge task on his hands but did like him even though he was as mad as they come.
Bjarni was a good signing and our best goal creator in his time

It'd be even better if he was at Crewe cos we wouldn't have to watch the utter bleedin garbage his teams served up before we got to the fun bit!
