What ever happened to the IBPUs - do they still go on?
It was always good to see the photos after - at least to put a face to a message board name.
Or has the schism within the message board meant that these would turn nasty?

The last one was at O'learys I think. We were all beaten back by a band that we just couldnt hear ourselves talk over.
Then came the usual Rex business that to be honest I never seemed to see what all the fuss was over. Lad was alright in my eyes but I didn't stop late.

The BNP turning up didn't help Yes, they certainly brought an uneasy atmosphere with them, the band were excellent but not really what you want when you are trying to have a conversation. Quite a few were totally shitfaced by 9pm but it was good to meet a a few posters on here.

I went to a few and they were ace. The one the night after we'd stayed up against Reading was the stuff of legend.

I enjoyed them- always nice to meet someone you'd had a run in with on the MB- ie nearly everyone in my case and have a beer or 10 ;D
Few remember meeting were Joe on Oz, Becks,Pricey, Os and young version, Dave f and bro (Wayne I think), Tel- oddest one was PMAC- after lots of banter on here turned out he lived next to me and knew him from a long time back. Many More- Hells Bells was always a fave character, I did lie to one guy who I was who said 'I thought that JR was coming-Cadamarteri my arse' after THAT post.

Joe
The one the night before the Reading game was a pretty tough one in the Beehive.
I felt a bit ropey on the day of the big game and a few of the others looked a bit dodgy too when I saw them at the ground.

mcf, I was rather knackered at the Reading game but when I saw you I felt a million dollars! That night I went O'Learys then Harrys until ludicrously (but brilliantly) late and somehow got to a pub in Manchester for 11.30! Five years older I'm not sure I could do an ale itinerary like that now. Probably not a bad thing when alls considerered.

The last one I went to was at O'Leary's. We all took part in the pub quiz, which was a right blast! The funniest part of the night was when people started chanting "What the fukcing hell is that?" to BoothenEndBoy (after getting 0/10 or something on his answer sheet). I got up to go to the loo whilst the chanting continued and one of the BMP tossers (whom, taking by the fact that him and his mates were sitting across the isle by themselves had got the hint that we just weren't interested), stood up, pointed at my 'kick racism out of football' shirt, and thinking that all the chants were directed at me, joined in with them. I walked past him until I'd reached the last of the Oatcaker tables, stopped, turned around, looked at him, then looked at everyone else, then looked back at him. He paused, looked around, realised that he was the only one pointing at me whilst everyone else was pointing at BoothenEndBoy, stopped pointing, and sat down realising he'd just made a total tit of himself. Classic! Just the type of half-brained, dim-witted stunt that you'd expect from one of those clowns.
