Agreed top Stokie.
Asked him why he supports Stoke.
He said in the 60's he fell out with his brothers, all Millwall fans. The next game they went down to he was going to support the away team whoever it was.
It just happened to be Stoke. He has been going ever since. His son also goes everywhere with him. He was telling us he has only missed about 5 games home and away including friendlies in the last 15 years.

Ted does indeed live in Bromley, don't we all. I think in a roundabout way he once offered me a job as getaway driver on a blag that was in the planning stages, or maybe I just dreamt it...........

:)I'm just joking. I've known Ted, Les and Monica for more than twenty years now. It is interesting at times to see people who under any other circumstances would probably never meet and have nothing in common but when it comes to football....... p.s Undoubtedly I'll see all three of them at West Ham on the 28th, also my first game of the season

Hats off to you GSB... as you say footy does bring the most unlikely characters together... I can remember Monica running the Southern Stokies when I was approaching my teenage years..
The Newsletters were typed in a way that the Guildford 4 won an appeal on a technicality ! Oh Happy Days mate!

Farmer, perhaps we know we each other? I can say with glorious embarrassment that I* was responsible for bringing Potters Monthly into........well about half way through the 20th century I suppose. It was so much work nobody really knew but we were foolhardy / stoopid enough to do it for a couple of years. It also paved the way for us to produce both issues of 'She Stood There Laughing'. We always said that SSTL** would only be produced for Wembley appearances, so maybe we need to another next May ;D
*Entirely and always along with Andy Pitchford and Julian Boodell **We didn't sue Winger for copyright infringement, let's face he lives in Norwich so probably needs all the help he can get.

Maybe GSB... I did turn out to play footy twice in Battersea Park in the early 90s... I can remember....the names you gave...but names only..... I probably even played in the same team as Nick Hancock come to think of it !

Agree with all the compliments, a top man and has Stoke running through his veins even though he lives opposite Millwall's training pitch ;D
Didn't know me from Adam when I was down in London, took me into his house, showed me the 'Stoke' room and introduced me to the Southern Supporters at a pool competition in Penge. All top lads who support us for one reason or another.
Friends ever since and if you are reading Ted I hope to catch up with you in January at the City game

Having met TED on a number of occasions I can say he is a True Legend among Stoke Fans, He is mister Stoke City, Red & White through and through, with me having lived on the Doorstep of the Main Entrance to the Old Victoria Ground, there was always only going to be One Team for me to support, but I always have admiration for our supporters who live further afield, they put a lot of time, effort and Loyalty into supporting their Team, as does all our supporters !!!!! We'll be with you, every step along the Way.

I totally agree with everything said about him, he's a top bloke. Always got a story to tell, most of which can't be told on an open message board I've had many many good times with Ted. long may they continue.
