we have failed twice to sign Rudolph Austin due to work permit problems but importantly Jamaica have got to number 65 in the FIFA World Rankings. the reason this is important is that if you're in the top 75, work permits shouldn't be a problem, excuse me if I'm being ignorant but i cant see why we cant go in for Rudolph Austin in the January transfer window.

We can but if we sign another central midfielder or defender we’ll have 16 too many.

wasn't Amdy Faye only signed because of Austin not signing? isnt that why Amdy Faye is only on a 1 year deal?

Unless he can play left wing or up front I’d prefer us to look elsewhere.

Does anyone actually know how good Austin is though? We've seen a rocket of a shot from him for Jamaica on youtube and that's about it.
I don't see what the huge deal about him is to be honest. Would he really bring us anything particularly different?

I don't think we can apply until next summer.
And I think the world ranking criterion is measured over a 2-yr period, not where Jamaica happen to be in Dec 2008, but their average position between Dec06 and Dec08.
