Worried sick that we may return to the C'ship next season, we are only 2 points ahead of Sunderland in 18th.
Looks like WBA, Blackburn and one other at the moment, fear it will be us and our luck is running out.
Areas of concern
1. We have very poor players in Cresswell, Wilkinson and Pugh, would struggle to make most Championship sides 2. Kitson is injured, looks half hearted and I doubt his appetite to return 3. Sidibe out - most effective player this season 4. Delap - if he cannot take throw ins he is no use to us 5. Tongue - looks slow, not much hope for him if he could make the starting XI last Saturday 6. Oli - fallen out of favour with Pulis.
Our next home games are Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City, cannot see a point there, away from home we are yet to win.
Deadline day signings will probably last minute panic buys - the Stoke way, by which time it will be too late.
Pray to god I am wrong but cannot face 14k+ crowds watching the likes of Blackpool and Swansea

IT'S CHRISTMAS!! ;D Santa will be good to us...we've waited long enough. Granted January looks a bit cack...but the turn of events in the last couple of weeks (injuries etc) will convince the management of what we desperately need! Stoke City have convinced even the most sceptical Stoke fan of what we can achieve, ie, Arsenal, Villa, Liverpool etc Keep the faith and positive thinking, the new crowd have seen enough to stay... and besides, we'll still be prem in May ;D

I think what you have posted is a very fair reflection your worries and concerns are shared by many. Like you I hope and pray it isn’t to be but I can’t really see much light at the end of the tunnel at the moment.

I think the whole point of this is that it's our 1st season back for 23 years and the gap is pretty big. If you were expecting anything other than at least being very close to relegation all season i reckon your probably too optimistic. Personally if someone had offered me 2 pts above 18th at any point in the season i'd take it.
As for your areas of concern:
"1. We have very poor players in Cresswell, Wilkinson and Pugh, would struggle to make most Championship sides 2. Kitson is injured, looks half hearted and I doubt his appetite to return 3. Sidibe out - most effective player this season 4. Delap - if he cannot take throw ins he is no use to us 5. 1.) A bit over the top ... all good champ players. 2.) Hasn't worked yet but i don't see this half-hearted attitude some others do. 3.) Fair enough (after Abdy) 4.) Very harsh i think. He's had some very good performances this season throw-ins or no throw-ins 5.) He's never been quick but looks very tidy when given the chance (surprised he hasn't had more) 6.) For good reason in my eyes and he needs to buck his ideas up.

I think we could take at least 4 points from those 3 fixtures. Man ure will just have returned from a gruelling trip to Japan and I reckon we could get a point. If we can get a point at Anfield surely we can can get 1 at home. Man City are very beatable at the moment and I would be confident of beating them at home.
Have a little hope & faith, if the worst comes and we go back down be thankfull that we haven't got a club close to bankruptcy and we would have the best squad in the championship.

Thing is if we'd won 1-0 on Saturday with the goal a deflection of a passing dog there'd be people on here saying we'll win the Champions League. ;D Football supporters....don't you just love us!!

but not all the teams around will keep winning, as long as we finish 17th or better at the end of the season then its job done for this season. who would have predicted newcastle to go and win 3-0 at pompey sunday, if that result was 3-0 pompey you would not have started this thread, that is a measure of how tight the premier league is at the moment. long way to go harrydan, have faith.

Blimey, I'm so glad we're not six points below fourth from bottom! ;D Stay positive for goodness sake! As a youngster, I had to endure the 1984-5 season, now that was sh!t! Yes the football may not be the most attractive, but we are doing far better than most of us dreamed of!

I think if we win the next home game, the home game after that and the home game after that we will be in mid table.

I guess I'll be hoping that the manager and the players have a more positive atittitude than harrydan! I'm sure they will ;D
There are plenty of positives but one of them that few people mention is that we know we have money to spend in January. Some other clubs in the bottom half of the table don't. West Ham have to sell before they can buy, so do Portsmouth and possibly Blackburn and (surprisingly to me) the Baggies are apparently strapped for cash. To be in a sounder financial position than many of our competitors was rare enough when we were in the Championship - I'm gobsmacked it is the case in the Championship.
I reckon we will survive - I'll be happy when January arrives though because we are going to miss Mama desperately until a replacement can be drafted in.
