If Mama's injury is serious I think Olly is the man. He is big, strong and has decent pace and technical ability. I honestly believe he is a better choice than Cress and Vince up front. Especially in the Mama role! Come on Olly, show them that you can do this! ;D

Pulis has got a decision to make really, either try and find the correct player too try and play the role mama has been, and try and supply service to riccy, with flick-on's etc....or adopt a new approach, that doesn't include a target man.....

I think that might not be too radical an idea, actually... I'm pretty sure he might have filled in up front at least once or twice for Wolves. Whether he was any good at it is another issue though.

Probably not as a rediculous a shout as it sounds. Although I was impressed with Vince, feel he deserves a shot. If not, Olly could well be the man to take us through to January

Does he have the workrate for it, given his role thus far as the definition of anonymity?

Worth a go I suppose, but I'm not optimistic it would be anywhere near as effective. The "Mama role" is not just one of conventional target man - It's unique, almost as if it's devised specifically for the big man's abilities. Square pegs and round holes springs to mind.

If Mama was unavailable, I'd try a tactical approach that didn't involve Mama. Crazy I know, but hey?

I think the world is going mad. Oli is not good enough in his strongest position. The thought of him playing an unfamiliar role is a recipe for disaster.
The only one of our average Championship players who will be considered are Cresswell and Pericard as they are familiar with the role and Cort due to his heading ability. All 3 are very poor imitations of Mama.
BTW any sign of Kitson - this is a long injury lay off!!!!
