without sounding negative, we all knew this would happen along with Fuller's inevitable 3 game ban after 10 bookings, but we signed a load of defensive midfielders and centre halves. We didn't have enough decent goalscoring forwards on the books at the end of august.

lets hope all the positive transfer talk comes to fruition else i fear we could be in a mess, its a shame cos if players like lawrence, tonge, kitson, mama and davies were fit and actually used at the same time i think we could be a bit more threatening.

yes but.... we have our toughest fixtures of the season from now untill the end of Jan... Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City... its my opinion that if we can grind through those games, come February, Mama, Kitson, Davies etc will be back, and we'll have bought the likes of Zigic, McFadden, Kaka, Ballack in the transfer window, and we'll win all our final 15 or so games. and qualify for europe

If we get anything it will be great but I wont be to pissed off if we don't. We just need to keep taking points from the teams around us and get what we can from the rest. I honestly think we will be OK with about 4/5 teams finishing below us.

i agree. as long as we haven't got a mountain to climb come the start of feb, i really fancy us to take points in the latter games of the season. then hopefully be safe by the game at the emirates

whats the kitson injury situation?
i think the pressure has been taken off his shoulders being injured and he will come back and bang them in.
