In response to your recent email enquiry regarding the football fixture on 20th December 2008, please note the following message, which has been posted on our website and in the media.
“After close consultation with Blackburn Rovers Football Club, a joint decision was made as to the ticket allocation for Stoke City fans. This decision has been based on crowd safety and police intelligence. It is acknowledged by Stoke City that this allocation is greater than required under Premier League Rules”.
“The safety of the fans is paramount during any policing operation and we work very closely with the Football Club to ensure that this remains so.”
