I see no reason why the club can't open the doors and let people into a fenced off area. They've put stewards in the bogs and it would be no more trouble than that ffs. Just get some of the temporary fences in blocks they put around building sites and you're laughing.

Dunno if its the bloke i saw get ejected (Block 22) but he looked like an OK bloke who didnt seem to be the type that would give the stewards any problems, Is this why he got thrown out. Would it have happened if it was one of the bone heads that frequent the bogs at halftime. Im all for getting this problem sorted so if its good enough for him then lets get rid of the dickheads as well. Seems a bit of easy pickings to me from the Gestapo stewards.

At the end of the day, it matters not a jot if the law says it's an open place. When you enter the ground, you agree to abide by the rules and conditions, which include no smoking. I'm a smoker but I can hang on for the 90 or so minutes I'm actually inside the ground and cannot see why others can't.

shock tactics. It says alot if you cant go 90 mins without a fag. Im an ex smoker and its not that hard.
Saying that, it wouldnt cost much to sort out a fanced area rather than just letting the situation get worse.

id rather people smoke in the gangways rather than the bogs but as for the stewards picking on usely young blokes who are not going to say mutch back is wrong and after paying 35 pound a ticket and geting kicked through the door is know joke and its def going kick of down there big time

Long may it continue. He knew the time before he did the crime. Why should non smokers have to put up with the smog in the bog just because some selfish twats cant cope without a smoke for 90 mins? On the same note why should the club spend money on temp pens just because people cant wait for 90 mins? Would these smokers wanting an enclosed and supervised area to go at half time be prepared to pay £1 every time they go for a smoke to help with the costs?

For fuck sake not this old chestnut again,we know smoking happens in the toilets every game but people dont give a shit.If they want people to not smoke in there then they should do the same as other grounds.Have a pen outside the stand with stewards facing outwards and if people go past the steward then shouldnt be allowed back in simple.Im a smoker myself but i can last 90 minutes so i dont feal the need to light up in the toilet.

The club need to set up a fenced off smoking area outside each stand for the smokers.
The problem has escalated now as people smoke in the concourse as well.
I also saw the guy getting kicked out on Saturday and it's probably only a matter of time before they ask an innocent individual to leave (and it appears they nearly did). So, they should solve the problem once and for all and have a designated smoking area outside.

If the club cannot provide an outside area for the smokers then the NO SMOKING policy of the club should be enforced by the police, ejection is the best way to sort out the selfish minority who want to inflict their habit on the majority, as usual.
Rant over.

smoke detector and sprinkler system in the toilets would sort it........ ;D I had that idea on Saturday too. I'm sick of walking through the smoke fog at half time every home match. When some elderly chap told one of the blokes off for smoking, the smoking git started on the elderly chap saying, 'F**K OFF!!' Stoke City NEED a sprinkler system fitted in the toilets!

What I don't understand is surely these smokers go 3-4 hours without a fag on a plane, whats the difference with lasting a couple of hours at football!!!

can anyone explain to me what RIGHT stewards have to remove his season ticket ? pretty sure they don't have any rights to search him, or force him to hand over any ticket he has paid for. people know where I stand on this issue, it is against NO law to smoke in the stands, they are not enclosed enough, this is some crap Prem/FL rule that football authorities have implimented without consultation . I've been in smoking shelters outside wigan hospital that were more enclosed than our ground Don't tickets / season tickets say on the back that they are owned by the club and can be removed at anytime if their rules are not followed?

The bogs in the JS lower stank of it at half time. If I have to go for 90 minutes without a fag then why can't they.
No excuses it's an absolute haze in there sometimes and the stewards most of the time just stand there and do nothing.
