Anybody else got the feeling that we are not rushing him back because we dont want him to get injured just in time for the transfer window? I hope not, I hope TP spends the money on Wingers to give Kitson the service he needs, Kitson is a proven goalscorer, all we need to get him scoring for us is a quality winger or two with pace, capable of putting in a good cross in, and Whelan in the center. I hope we don't sell him in January.

I get the feeling that he's just being given time to pull himself together, a few weeks off just to get his head straight after a crap start to come roaring back after a clean break.
I base that on absolutely nothing other than what I'd like to think.

God, i hope so, too! I still believe that Kitson is the signing that we need(ed) , rightly or wrongly ??? We need to make our money work, so i reckon we should spend a bit of money, providing him with a supply type player Just a thought

Well if conspiracy is abound then it's more likely he's been told "wait and see who arrives in January". I feel he may have bemoaned the lack of his type of service. But to be honest, I think it's very unlikely he'll go anywhere in Jan.
edit: to add to that, if I were a manager, then I'm not sure I'd be interested in a player who after less than six months was chucking his toys about wanting off somewhere. He also just doesn't strike me as that sort of bloke.

Tazi - oh right cheers, was just thinking it had all gone a bit quite with him.
Peterspipe - that sounds very possible, so we could be expecting a pacey winger or 2 at the beginning of the transfer window if thats the case.

I really can't see him being for sale after half a season. That would be a failure on a Roy Keane scale and his value would be millions less than we paid. I look forward to having a raring to go Kitson back along with a fit again LL and a couple of new signings in late Jan/early Feb. I really believe the second half of the season will be better than the first which is close on surpassing my expectations

I'm inclined to agree algor, but I'm just really hoping we don't see another brace of centre halves arrive in Jan!

I hope he stays too, two reasons:
1. As said above he's a proven goalscorer, and did a sound job with Reading in the prem, good service from better wingers, and being used as a goalscorer not a provider and he can still prove a useful signing, just needs a break, and then i think more goals will come.
2. If we were to sell him in January, we wouldn't get anywhere near the fee we paid for him, and would be on for a considerable financial loss.

We won't sell him in Jan. TP is too stubborn. He is building a rep for getting the best out of players when they seem like lost causes. Unless there's some background we don't know about, TP will be loathe to let him go as it will look like a failure on his part.
