I know people will say he is old over rated etc etc etc
but i think he would be a good signing for around £1 million he is big strong and has premiership experience, even if he scores 5-8 goals it would be a good buy
what you think?

I honestly think it would be a waste of money, and cant really see what he'd bring to the side

A few years ago he was very good, excellent finisher, good vision, good hold/ link up too. but the last few years he's looked un-interested to me. One time I feared him playing Stoke he wouldn't worry me anymore.

Crap, would rather spend that 1 million and his potential ages elsewhere.
No club will touch him at the mo! Especially a premiership one!!

As you say he is proven as a good finished and hold up man.
I just think he has a point to prove and could fit in nicley coming on from the bench or leading the line away from home for 45 mins?
personally i think its worth a punt and can't think of a striker of that quality with experience for around £1 million, maybe less?

Im not saying buy him and play him every game every week Just thought he would be a good additional, its not like we have a great deal of strikers to choose from. Just thought for the money he could be a good buy

Not even a good addition mate, I dont rate him at all. He would be a step backward in my eyes.

if our budget for the striker is 'only' £1m or so then Kuqi wouldnt be a disaster as as you say his motivation would be improved (I'd assume) as its prem football (last shot at the big time)
I think that PC will treat any target on their own merits so if say (random this I dont know owt re this player) TP wanted Heskey & Wigan wanted £7m for him I reckon PC might cough it up.
what I ma trying to say is that I dont think budgets will be constarined to 31m signings so Kuqi just wouldnt happen.

Why do we need to spend £1million on an average striker?!
Why dont we put that £1million with the £3million and possibly purchase Marlon Harewood. A striker with premiership experience.
£1million on Kuqi would be a waste to be honest mate.

Okay i can see your point about budgets but all i was getting at was he would be a good addition to the squad for the money we would have to spend, im not saying he is the answer to all our striking questions!
Obviously we would be looking to spend around 4-5 million on a full time front man but as we know a high priced highly rated striker does always pay off. Who would have thought sidebe would be keeping kitson out of the team at the start of the season?

If we are to go for a striker I'd rather Peter Coates pushed the boat out a little and spent a little more on a striker. I know he did with Kits, but it would be excellent if he broke the record purchase again?

what happened to Gary Mcsheffrey? not heard his name mentioned for a while? obviously he would'nt be worth just £1m but wheres he gone?
Clinton Morrison looked good at the brit last season

Again, I know we need to spend more than one million on a main striker but for the last 10-15 mins kuqi could hold the balls up if we are winning or put himself about if we are losing?

McSheffrey? hmm a Championship player at best I reckon, never hit it off in the Prem.
As regards to the other comment, If we needed a striker to bring on at the end of the game, I'd choose Phillips over Kuqi anyday, would be a lot cheaper and more consistent.

I personally hope we dont sign any striker for a small amount, cannot see them helping the cause, as said previously, I'd like us to spend a bit on a striker who could score us some vital goals and act as good cover.
Agreed Kuqi, Phillips or whoever on the cheap is not needed.
