I really hope we do some decent business in the transfer window in January and we all know where we need strengthening, thankfully also do TP. I had a brief look at last January's business and came to conclusion in the title. Seems that many prem clubs spunked lots of money on pretty average players that didnt do a great deal to have an instant impact.... Brum spent over 7m...mainly on McFadden...didnt save them Bolton spent 13m!!!!!.....5m on Gary Cahill!!!!...but they stayed up Derby went for the cheap option with freebies...8 new players in and wasted 1.5m on Savage...they were even worse! M'boro spent 10m on Alves!!! Wigan 5m on King Spurs 20m...17m on woodgate and Hutton!! Sunderland 4m on Andy Reid!!! Man City 5m on Caicedo!!!!Has he played yet? L'pool 6.5m on Skrtel And of course good ol chelski spent 27m!!!! 9m on Ivanovic...yes who? So conclusions.. Inflated prices for shite players Few Prem to prem transfers...mostly from overseas Ridiculous amount spent by Chelsea and Spurs Just a handful of decent buys.
Having not taken a blind bit of notice last jan I am stunned by the amount spent...and wasted....but do the players bought in Jan make an impact?.....doesn't seem like.
But goooarrrnnn TP....you still have a bit to prove in this Premier transfer nonsense

A bit of 'man love' and an arm round the shoulders from our Tone could get the bargains that other managers couldn't...
Just watch this space...

Do you REALLY think Arsenal will be in any hurry to do business with us after recent events???

I dont think "recent events" would have any bearing on a transfer whatsoever.
Would be a decent signing as he was a top player not so long ago

With Kitson ready to fire after his injury and Lawrence back, it will be like two signings for nothing soon - plus whoever we get in the window
Let the good times roll.......

If Liam ever gets back to full fitness and can be as influential as he can be it'll be like signing anew player. I know when he played earlier this season he was a bit off the pace at times BUT within him is the player who's quality could 'make the difference'.
