I have just been on BBC sport, football.Tranmere manager,Ian Moore saying how much they will miss Shotton.Says he is a real quality player who he thinks is good enough to play anywhere. "He has strength, pace and can score goals,(has scored 5 goals during his loan spell)and will be sorely missed. Fuck Pericant off Tony and give Ryan his shirt.

I would love to see him in the centre of midfield.

Why CM when hes a CB?
I must say i watched him for 2 years in the academy and don't remember him losing a header or not putting in a great performance. He is Mr. Cool and Mr. Consistent ala the composure of a young Rio Ferdinand with the aerial ability of a young John Terry. Not saying hes going to be England captain just that when you watch him you can see those qualities in him.
Also knows where the back of the net is and used to play up front. I know Altrincham played him up front for a few games last season so if we need a late goal its worth shoving him upfield

And he's got a long throw It would be nice for him to make his way onto the bench in the near future (he's already made his debut at Cheltenham). I've said it for a while and I will say it again. I can see Ryan Shotton becoming captain of Stoke City Football Club- wouldn't that be nice?

Is he on a long term contract with Stoke? I don't know for sure but it wouldn't surprise me his contract ends this summer!

With the plethora of centre-halves we have in our current squad, together with Pulis's total aversion to playing youth-team graduates, I doubt we'll see Shotton even making the bench until he turns 30.

Shotton, Wedderburn and Phillips all deserve a shot IMHO!
Jury still out on Thorley and Grocott.

With all the Centre halves we have, surely it is worth trying him at centre midfield as he would not be worse than the carthorses we have there now,and could be a hell of alot better, as he has the pace we are crying out for in midfield. He is playing fullback for Tranmere and has scored five goals.Five more than Diao or Faye will ever score.I hope i'm wrong but i think TP has given up on Glen Wheelan

Pulis doesn't do youth. We will only see our own graduates being developed into the 1st team when he's gone.

I hope to god shotton does get a chance.I don't think however we have let any young lads go that have gone on to do better things at better clubs.Have we?

To me it would have made sense to leave him at Tranmere for a while to aid his development. Whats the point of him playing in the reserves.

He has to retun greenhoff as his 3month loan period is over, and can't be extended.
