Plenty of people will have different reasons, it's a long way, it's not cheap and with Christmas just around the corner I'm pretty sure even a few of the die hard will pick the away games, Blackburn will be easier for many but West Ham and Newcastle are tough choices for many I'm sure. Things aren't great in many places at the moment, trying to fork out for Christmas (many of our fans have kids) and the football can't be done for some. If they can't go then so be it, it's getting old now this debate, we seem to have it for every away game.

I was bored shitless the 3 away games I've been to this season. The Mrs Got made redundant 3 months ago, just got a new job but doesn't get paid until the 19th. Xmas is 3 weeks away and I have a mortgage. I am Chairman of a junior football club which takes up a fair bit of time, and manage a team on Sunday's. I am Vice Chairman of an amatuer team and we have a home game on Saturday. My brother is coming up to Stoke for a pre Xmas visit and bringing my mum up from Stoke on Saturday, will do presnt swaps. My daughter has a birthday party 4-7 pm. I've spent thousands in the past watching Stoke away and supporting them at their lowest point when they needed it most, best one was flying home from Gibraltar for a weekend to take a game in. Need any more

Its 300 miles EACH WAY . I went last year, and I'd rather spend all day in bed with the missus, only getting up at 2.55 to listen to the commentry.

I'm at work unfortunately. 1,500 sounds poor. Maybe not for such a distance and taking in to account the weather forecast.

I'm going but its more to do with habit and mis-placed loyalty than anything else.
St James park is probably definitely the worst view I've ever seen I could barely tell which team was which in the cup last season!
Its also Christmas time and money is tight and as always football is horrendously over priced and its a bloody long way to go! So frankly I don't blame the no goers one little bit and I question myself for going more than I do them for not!
Having said that if we have a big game with limited tickets later on I hope the no showers don't come on here saying they deserve a ticket as much as anyone!
