I know there there are a few out there, and I know it may be short notice but have decided to fly out in a few weeks for Christmas and New Year........ have you seen the price of flights .... Expedia quote anything from £1600 to £12700 for a return flight for the Christmas period.Would probably pay the lower prices but fuck me what a mark up Any advice would be most appreciated, any web sites etc, have used www.asiarooms.net for cheapish flights before but they seem to have stopped the flights......HELP.... stopping in Phuket hopefully, anyone close by let me know, will meet up for a beer or twenty.

Xmas flights are ridiculous this year i have opted for the end of january out there for a month and am hoping bombs wont be going off and the exchange will be better. Eva airlines have a promotion on I paid £555 for a direct flight yesterday with them try them, I have flown with Eva, Thai airways, Quantas in the past and only fly Eva nowadays. Try agoda as well as asia rooms and make sure you get the website of any hotels you may be staying in to x ref the prices, this obviously depends on what type of accomadation you want if its mid range just book 1 night and look when your their as you'll get a better deal. (saying that agoda are doing a better rate with one of my favourite places than booking will the hotel direct) Finally theres a great ar called jenny's star bar on walking street in Pattaya, suggest your try it

Phuket....I prefer Talacre...You don't get all that foreign muck here you know.
All that fresh air, fish and chips, one arm bandits, and I'm not on about the scousers either.!
Fanbloodytastic....For those interested try the first two weeks in February....Its far less busy.

Try qatar or etihad and see what prices they are quoting, but i know its more expensive for that time of year.most stokies are in Pattaya or bangkok but if you are over then we can get a few beers and watch the mighty potters.no flights are arriving in bk at the moment so check before you book.

I have a flight back to UK this Monday i hope the situation has changed. My current problem is getting my parents out of here. I met them at the airport 2 days ago as we came through the doors the PAD (party against democracy) were storming in, fuck me finallt\y get them to visit me and this happens, great timing!! Now they are stuck cannot get out but they are enjoying themselves ;D They've been on a around the world tour good job this is they're last stop otherwise even more fucked ??? The lack of information coming from the airlines (in particular Singapore Airlines) is disgraceful. We keep getting told to get back in touch cos they are waiting for updates, in other words they haven't got a fucking clue! My old man has an heart condition i just hope he doesn't start to get stressed, which the longer this goes on he will do. He also has only 2 days of pills left so things better start moving, they are considering a 30 hour cbus journey to Singapore what a job that would be!! The British Embassy in Bangkok are useless cunts as well they're only response is to check with your airline

In general, Etihad are great value for money. I would be very surprised if the airport blockade drags on for more than a week. The army are reluctant to intervene but this may change. The $$ from tourism are too important to allow this to continue for a prolonged period. However, "This is Thailand" and anything can happen. The PAD (anti-govt) and the PPP (govt) have both rejected the Army C-in-C's call for compromise. I would not be put off coming here - it is not dangerous (unless you spend your time hanging around with the protesters). Just frustrating for most travellers at the airport with the delays & disruption.

Talacre Beach Caravan Park , what memories.
The golden grey sands, the crystal clear effluent drain-off trickling into the Dee estuary. The magnificent view of Point of Air colliery and it's beautiful tailings pond. A short walk to Gronant for a taste of the Welsh countryside.
You are a tease mumf
