hmmm, while i have bemoaning the lack of goals for Stoke, and thanks to Man U , the rather hideous looking goal difference, i came upon this stat : Stoke have scored 14 goals with 89 shots on goal (not last in the league) compared to the likes of Hull, 21 goals and 134 shots on goal, Chelsea 32 goals with 221 shots on goal, West Brom 10 goals with 148 shots on goal, etc etc. So what does all this mean ? right now goal difference seperates 3 teams on 17 points, Stoke being one of them of course. so as i lose my cool here, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze, pleeeeeeeeeze attack more, shoot at the damn goal, even if its from the half way line ;D, hey, it might go in. The way this season is going, goal difference might be ALL the difference for staying up !!

www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11096_2705370,00.html The discrepancy between out team shots, team shots on target, and completed successful pass stats, and those of the rest of the division, is eye-opening. I assume the way we set-up away from home is the reason why we trail the rest of the division so alarmingly in all areas, stat-wise? Our 'completed pass' stats are amazing, nearly 50% lower than most other teams. Only really Bolton who are remotely as percentagey in their play? And Villa, Hull and Wigan aren't a million miles more tippy-tappy. But we're in a league of our own, which is surprising... But whatever we're doing at home, we should keep it going! I suppose a positive note is we must be near the top of the table for converting shots onto goals
