sorry if already posted but great result for our reserves with Pugh and Tonge getting the goals, up to 2nd now. nice to see Andrew Davies starting sorry if this sounds idiotic but why are our reserves in a league titled, Barclays Premier League South, what's south about stoke-on-trent? www.stokecityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Reserves/0,,10310~1465378,00.html

I agree - it's mental. When Stoke's about an hour and a half away from most of the teams in the North West (Man C, Man U, Wigwam, Bolton, BBurn) they have to travel to London for the majority of away games...?

It is just the way the Premier League teams this season are distributed around the country with a majority in the north. The northern section of the reserve league has 11 teams and the southern (including Stoke) has 9 teams. If Stoke were in the northern section then that section would have 12 teams and the southern section 8.
Never mind if we stay up and Wolves and Birmingham get promoted no doubt we'll be in the northern section next year even if the Baggies get relegated.
