Been reading and seen that Brendan Rodgers is set to take over at Watford but with Frank Lampard Snr as 'football consultant'.
What do people reckon to this ploy? Get more young managers in the game by backing them up with older experienced 'seniors' as their advisors.
Got to question where the line between 'advisor' and 'actual manager' is drawn I suppose.
Anyway, discuss.

It can work well and the young managers can learn things and all that BUT football consultant or director of football or whatever you want to call it is a different job altogether then managing. Take the advice BUT there's only one boss and thats the manager.

Whilst on the topic of managers....are we now investing too much in the way of expectations, hope etc. on one persons shoulders?
The rewards of the modern game seem huge, especially for the players-yet success (if measured by trophies and top four finish) can only be achieved by a few top managers.
The business side of the game seems like a different world in comparison to a few years ago.
I write this having watched interviews with Tony Adams...at times he seems to be looking into the abyss/fighting his own personal demons.
When you see a manager so burdened you just hope they can keep things in perspective. And for such individuals you have to question,"Is it worth it?"
Whilst many of us wish we could play our fantasy manager role for real..spare a thought for Mr. Pulis the next time we drop a few points. Could we really hack all the pressures associated with this job?
