Good luck to him, considering the injuries he had he's done incredibly well to manage as well as he does.

Without doubt the best player I've ever seen playing for Stoke we were soooooooo lucky he showed the greatest form of his entire career for us. Even in his second stint at Stoke he was fantastic too.
Like many ultra talented superstar players of yesteryear its a crying shame he has been his own worst enemy with the demon drink but hopefully the op will be a 100% success and he'll sort himself out for many years to come.
With the millions in the game nowadays its an absolute tragedy a supremely talented hero like Hudson is struggling. People like him deserve testimonials and I for one would gladly attend one for him.

I know Alan likes a drink but how much does he like a drink on a scale of 1 to 10. Assuming Georgie Best and Oliver Reed = 10? He was a class player and I for one am extremely proud of our connection with the bloke!

trebor, I remember helping you with the big flag last season against Palace and Alan Hudson walked onto the pitch. That's my claim to fame being on the pitch at the same time as huddy. Get well soon Alan, remember him from his second stint with us and he was my hero then.Wish i had been old enough to see him during his first spell with Stoke.

Hi Stenny and yes that was a magical moment for me too! The bloke who I idoilised as a kid and we were stood within a few feet of him in the niddle of a packed stadium! Quality Chinesedave I know at one time I saw him on telly being interviewed and all he was talking about was how much he could drink and he was talking bottles rather than measures! Probably not a ten on your scale but probably not too far off it.
