His biggest issue is consistency. If he could reproduce a performance like yesterday regulary he'd surely have to get back into the England team wouldn't he?

I think his consistency is an issue, but I think he only plays well when he's up against a poor left back (as he was yesterday), I dont think he could do it at international level.

Plenty of poor fullbacks even at international level also plenty of good but slow fullbacks too.
Lennon is young,if his delivery can improve (see Giggs & Waddle as classic examples of 2 wingers who's crossing was awful when they statred out) then he will be a threat for England.

If he improves his final ball I think your right lord he may have a chance. At this present time though I would much prefer to see Walcott, Wright-Phillips or Ashley Young in there.

I love it that we dont appear to have a player who can master the art of being able to run fast and kick as well.

thats fair
of course there is always some-one injured (right now its Walcott) & someone off form (Bentley) so the above players all have a good chance of making SA

A big mistake that Scen missed out on was picking becks and Lennon together in England squads regularly.
Loads of players got picked by sven with no intention of them playing and i think that Lennon should have been picked just so he could learn crossing techniches from beckham. If you look at G nev's crosses now compared to when he first came out. Well not now a couple of years ago. He put his improvement down to Becks.

good point although G.Neville would put world peace down to Becks given that chance.

Ukyestony, yes he was dire against us but they all were!
It is frustrating though because there's clearly something fantastic in him.

The only thing 'fantastic in him' would be a big black well lubricated dildo.
I think he's actually - fucking useless ! - lots of scampering about - wears gloves when its cold -cant cross a ball - strange marks in his haircut like the barber slipped when trying to miss his ears- rarely beats a man (if ever. )
games all about opinions
I put him in the same category as Terry Fenwick and Phil Neville i.e. players who mysteriously got to wear england shirts against all common sense and wit
and that will always be a complete mystery to me !
(winks and goes back to practising my wobble board - along with Rolf Harris's 20 golden greats) )

Read it Joe - Liked the bit that said:-
'It has always been Lennon's final ball or 'end product' that the youngster has struggled with'
unquote - in my world that means - 'completely useless bastard'
plus - tis written in a newspaper therefore, it must be correct eh ????
nice we can humbly beg to differ
A far far better footballer got 20 minutes for stoke last saturday i.e. Michael Tonge
