James,
With CB Davies preferred position, wouldn't Wilko and Davies the opposite to how you lined them up. Or will Davies be playing at RB, because that would be the position that TP wants im play in, in the first team?

Middo,
I reckon Davies will start at RB (as this is TP's preferred position). That's how they lined up at Arsenal anyway.

A good Championship side from us then, and Spurs fielding a few big names; Rocha, K-P Boateng, Ghaly, Taarabt.

Leyton Orient eh, remember when they put an end to our unbeaten record years ago, they had a mound on the goal mouth nearest the away end if I remember rightly?

Yes i remember that game, had a minutes silence before kick-off in the snow(think it was for Bobby Moore). Used to consider Brisbane Road as my lucky away ground until that day.The previous 4 times i had been there we had won, twice in cup games aswell.

Dazzer - Moult is an Academy player - as are the other Stoke players you probably don't recognise.
I'm surprised to see Diao-Jimenez starting as he was subbed in the Academy game on Saturday apparently with an injury.

Yeah Diao went off on Saturday early with an injury. Surprised Alexander's not on the bench, mind you he went off aswell but late on so there may be something more to that.

Final Score 2-0 Stoke.
What was Diao's injury if he made so quick a recovery?

Despite my obvious bias it sounds like Demar was involved tonight and had quite a good game. Good result-we could win this league!

Great result. A couple for Pugh now and seems Vince is getting about a tad. Should Vince get a shout on the Subs bench against Hull? Kitsons out injured and a fresh set of legs if needed? I thing Tonge is a class player btw

IMO, Tonge should start on Saturday.

Apart from one late run, Vince was a bit disappointing tonight actually, despite his red hot form in the reserves!
The midfield went about their business efficiently, esp Tonge, (though there were 5 of them & at least 2 of which don't belong at that level) and kept it pretty much on the ground which was refreshing to see. CBs done for pace once or twice but generally handled everything well. Davies came through the game without getting subbed so maybe he's closer to First XI than we thought.
Mucho Stokies present as well - unless there were a lot of Spurs fans appreciating the goals perhaps

Did Davis play at right back or centre back?

Just got back having seen the game with my work mate - a Spurs fan :-)
I thought we played really really well, especially Nathaniel Weddernurn playing holding midfield role and allowing Tongue in particular to push up with Pericard. Whelan played fantastic too and I really can't understand why he can't get in the first team ahead of amdy faye. The midfield knocked the ball round well. Philips put in a good ball for Pugh's goal, but looks too light weight to me.
Davies was solid, had one good run down the right and one very bad challenge where he nearly hurt himself!
Spurs had a lad up front called Taarabt who looked class. Good on the ball and hit the post with a very good shot. other than that they did not seem keen on playing on a freezing cold night in leyton!
Laugh of the night was Clive Allen saying "What the f*ck was that Referee" before walking off - before the ref could send him off! quality!!!!!
