From the BBC news website.
Club's golden girl gets red card Stoke City football club has dropped its latest signing after supporters showed it the red card saying it was sexist. The "Golden Goal Girl" was greeted by a chorus of wolf whistles as she walked around the pitch holding up a board showing the time a goal was scored.
Supporters buy a scratch card and if the time on the ticket matches the time a goal is scored, they win a prize.
But the club received complaints and has stopped using the girl.
Supporter's opinions
The golden goal girl herself, 19-year-old Charlotte Marsh from Longton, says she cannot understand what the fuss is about.
She said: "I think it's very pathetic. I only go around the ground for about five minutes.
"It is just letting the fans who have bought a ticket basically know whether they have won or not straightaway. I really do think it is pathetic."
A club spokesman said they will be asking supporters for their opinions.
