According to Cardiff's site, Ipswich, Leicester, Norwich, and Coventry are chasing Parry. Haven't Ipswich got shed loads of money to spend!! Parry would be a great signing, but if this is true, it would appear doubtful.

we are supposed to have shed loads spend as well though by my reckoning about 36 years worth of spending spree is backed up

If we ARE going for Stelios, I doubt we will be going for Parry. It will be one or the other - or neither!

Parry vows to stay at City and carry on good work
Jan 10 2008 icWales
CARDIFF City’s Paul Parry has denied rumours that he is set to leave Ninian Park during this month’s transfer window.
Instead, the in-form Welsh international has and vowed to continue playing his part in to rejuvenated the bluebirds the rejuvenated Bluebirds‘ ’surge up the Championship table.
It was Parry’s goal against Ipswich Town in November which could yet be seen as a defining point in the season for the player, his team-mates and manager Dave Jones alike.
His strike came after Ipswich’s former City striker Alan Lee had seen a goalbound effort hit the bar – since when the Bluebirds’ fortunes have largely been on an upward curve.
As a result, they now find themselves only three points off a play-off place and Parry, who has been enjoying a more attacking role of late, is understandably delighted by recent events – and is determined to continue playing his part in City’s revival. Parry’s form of late gives City’s chances of winning any game in the Championship a fighting chance as he relishes a more attacking role.
The Welsh international’s goal against Ipswich Town in November, after former bluebird Alan Lee hit the cross-bar in the open exchanges could well be looked back as the defining moment of City’s season, and manager Dave Jones.
Now with City’s tails up and the Ninian Park garden looking a bit more rosier, on the field at least, City have got the bit between their teeth as they home in on a Championship play-off spot.“I’m not going anywhere,” said Parry, who has another season on his contract after the current term.
“I’m happy with my form at City and enjoy living here, so there is no reason for me to go anywhere else.”
Parry has spearheaded the City attack with some much needed injection of pace and it’s paid dividends.
“We’ve hit some decent form and I’m enjoying the more attacking role the gaffer has given me lately – it is certainly better then being stuck out wide waiting for the ball to come out to me.
“I’m now in the position to make things happen rather then wait for them to happen and the Ggaffer wants me to get beyond the back line which suits me better.
“I’m enjoying my football, like the rest of the team.
“Obviously, the changing rooms is a happier place to be now than a few weeks ago and in fairness it wasn’t that bad before, because while we playing some good stuff we were not getting the results we deserved.”
It’s a far cry from two months ago when the players and Jones came in for some heavy criticism.
“Before Christmas we were 11 points behind a play-off spot – now we are just three points behind,” continued Parry.
off, “That is not a bad haul over the festive period and the lads are determined to capitalise on the change of fortunes and that continues on Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday.” continued Parry.
“There’s been no secret formula for the last month or two. We underachieved and knuckled down through sheer hard work and now find ourselves ourselfs back on track.
“We came in for a lot of stick from the media, but not a lot has changed in the personneal to when we were going through a difficult time.
“After the FA Cup tie with Chasetown last week, we’re concentrating on Sheffield Wednesday and if we happened to win that match it would bringhaul all the top clubs closer to us and that will be ourt aim.” added Parry.

Regarding Parry's comments - if the rumours are true about Cardiff's urgent need for cash until their case goes to court then Parry may be encouraged to leave whether he particularly wants to or not. At the time of their last crisis (when they had to borrow to pay their players) we bid for Parry but they raised the cash by selling Kav to Wigan.
None of this means we have bid for him, of course, but it means that clubs which are interested will hover around until Cardiff haul themselves out of the financial doo doo.
