Not getting game in Italy, and he wasn't even in the matchday squad for the last match. What about a cheeky bid in the region of £2-2.5M? I really think he would fit in well with our style of play, great engine, tough and hard working with a a very good left foot. Could slot in at both left midfield and left back. Now is the time to act Tony!

Looking at the tax paid there you do wonder why all these foreign stars come over here whe they could go tax free in Spain, Italy.
As if they charge them for tickets and meals.

Too expensive? Not when it comes to the asking prize, but wages could be a stumbling block though. Anyway I think he is exactly the kind of player we need to keep moving in the right direction as a club.

I bet his wages have come down anyway since those days. Plus we must surely pay Sorro £20k+ so teh same for Riise wouldn't be out of the question. It's a case of whats he worth to us?

Yeh, i think the wages would be the problem, as they've always been. Still, in Peter we trust ;D

Riise has no cash, he'll take what he can get.
As a player, absolutely! Sign him!

More likely to get someone like that on loan rather than signing him permanently. Id like to see someone of his experience come in especially as he can be quite attacking on the overlap whilst also giving us the chance to move higgy in the center. take out the transfer fee and you can justify paying larger wages over 6 months cant ya. and your not stuck paying those wages come the end of the year if we did get relegated.

Nah i think left mid would be his best position because his attacking tendencies from RB would be too much for TP IMO. Would be a great signing and not entirely out of the question, always a threat with his shots and free-kicks so would love to see him here

Good choice, maybe we could play him as a striker, afterall the left side of the defence usually has a striker or 2 there.
