Sat in the NE corner surrounded by Dutch, german ,Swedish etc.
Aside of the drubbing on the pitch im so proud to be a Stokie.
A part of something real.
Everything about their club is plastic qnd wreaks of small dick syndrome.
the atmosphere is bordering on embarrassing.
Give me back my packed Brit full of pasion and noise.
These people will never have the bond we have.

The only bond some of these manc scum have to their local team is selling their 'spares' to the tourists.

Down in the South East corner - surrounded by 3,000 Stokies - I thought the atmosphere was great. I've just had an email of condolences from an Austrian friend who watched the game on TV over there. I replied (truthfully) that, despite the score, I would not have missed the game for the world. The prospect of watching Stoke in a League game at Old Trafford surrounded by Stokies is something which I have been looking forward to for 23 years.

Slightly unrelated.... I remember sitting in the home end away at forest when we lost 6-0 a few years ago. From there we survived and we moved forward. Who knows maybe we will do the same again this season.....and in a couple of years take a team to old trafford capable of getting a decent result! BTW i think every man and his dog should go to blackburn 20th dec. Iv heard weve got the whole end? 8000? no id card too we should fill the end

Got to be honest and say I actually enjoyed the day out but it was my first OT trip. I thought it was a corking atmosphere in the South Stand with the rest of the Stokies. Not quite as good as Anfield but probably second best this season. I thought the Man Utd support was at least more vocal than Liverpool which was truely embarrassing. Took the hour walk back to Manchester City Center after the match and enjoyed listening to the Man Utd fans whose biggest topic of conversation seemed to be the Delap throw - or rather lack of it But OT will definitely be close to the bottom of the list of venues I will get to next season. £50 for a ticket and the worst view I've had all season, £5 for a chuffing program and I had to queue to get it! No thanks. I'd rather spend my money going to see two games elsewhere away from home Can't wait to get back to the Brit for the next two Saturdays. It might be small(ish), cold and windy there but at least its still (relatively) affordable and the atmosphere rocks at pretty much every home match.

I too was in with the MU lot. Me and me mate just stood up and sat down at the right time and got away it. Can't say I enjoyed the experience of getting dicked 5 nil but the day had its positives. The news of the home draw to Derby was a good start, as was just seeing Stoke walk out there, side by side with £260 millions worth of talent (all bought on tick) in front of a 75000 crowd.
The result didnt bother me much in the first place; we knew we'd be in for a defeat like that at some stage this season so it might as well be at Old Trafford. And as the weekend has progressed I've felt even more positive about it.
These big clubs are either up to their ears in debt, in the midst of the worlds most serious financial crisis ever, or, survive at the whim of the interest of a Russian billionaire or a wealthy Middle Eastern prince. The rug could be pulled beneath their feet at any time. Imagine Man U without the money to pay the likes of Ronaldo his zillions; he'd be out of Manchester like shit off a shovel, and the bums would be off the seats at the same rate.
The worm could just be on the turn, and the fans who support their local team funded by the interest of a successful local businessman and a loyal passionate local crowd may well be rewarded for their support.
We've had worse weekends in the last 15 years. Keep the faith, and bring on the Baggies. That will cheer us all up.

Didn't feel like a football match at all for me.
More like attending a pop concert or American football match.
Hated the place and everything associated with it.

I thought it was fucking brilliant and a measure of how far we have come.
While we don't want to make up the mumbers, you have to be able to walk before you can run.
I'd much rather have an off day in a game you are likely to lose in any case than one of our home games against our true competition.
Losing is never nice but at least we did it in style.

I travelled a long way with my son, and my brother much further to see this match, and we're glad we did. I was sitting in the Salford suite in the North stand and was proud to be a Stokie. I didn't bother with the standing and pretending to be a Manure sheep as I wanted the tossers around me to be aware that I belonged to something better than prawn sandwiches and not really knowing about the history and passion of a club. I don't get to many matches due to the 1000 mile distance so I'd like to tip my hat to the 3000 who travelled there on Saturday and who out sang the 70 odd thousand glory hunters at the Theatre of dreamers. Several people around us did laugh at some of the chants and gave praise to our support so I suppose they're not all bad. I just wish I could have sat with you all however it was spectacular seeing you from a distance. Congratulations too all that go week in week out. I do envy you .

In Stretford End - had to stand the entire match - surrounded by singing Mancs!! Could hear Stokies singing all game and had to laugh when they turned the PA system up before the game to start drowning out the noise. Really enjoyed being there to see Stoke and how far we have come in a few years. ManUre fans I was with couldn't understand why I wasn't suicidal when we got out of the ground - they have never (and could never) dealt with a drubbing. On way to the train had to laugh at some of the songs of the Stokies - especially the Autoglass Trophy song - lol. Most of the ManUre fans just don't get it their experience is so 1D - a win or its nothing. Some of you would have enjoyed the experience of being in Bishops before the match. My Man U mates had never been but since we had season tickets for the game I thought it would be a laugh to see what went on. Fat barstewards teaching the rest how to sing their dull songs - I have never laughed so much (inwardly of course).
Anyway heres to 7 points from the next 3 games!!!

I have a different reason to hate Old Trafford after saturday's visit.Whilst looking for a safe car park near to the ground we decided to opt for a smallish car park about half a mile from the lights where Lou Macari's chippy is.It looked like a newish block of retirement flats with parking for about 15 cars. After parking up we handed over £7 to some lad with his hi-viz jacket on and happily walked to the ground. On our return we were greeted with by a smug manc who had cheerfully wheel clamped all cars "without a residents permit" and had no option but to hand over £80 to get on our way.According to this guy the little scrotes that took our £7 had scammed us as they had no permission to collect money for carparking there. So all in all it was a bad day in and out of Old Trafford but i suppose had we put anything like a performance in would have been a little easier to stomach
