I have always backed TP, and have always said that we'll play better football when he has the players to do it with.
Was the Newcastle game (mainly second half) proof that when we have the right players, like Pugh in the middle, we can play football there must be some teams that thought, "I didn't think Stoke could play like that!"

I see your point but there is still the issue re strikers : i.e. they have to be 6ft+.

I think as well, the pressure was off our lads. No-one really expected them to win the game (aside from our supporters) so they could play free of worry.
I think that sometimes, if an opposing side starts to get the better of us, we get very nervous, and that is when the hoofs out of defense start to take over the game.

The thing is, when we did try to play a bit of football, Hansen et al accused us of not playing to our strengths! How can you win?
I personally think that when we go up to St James' Park we should go completely route one against what will be a weakened defence!
