Peter Coates has already said he will sell for £25 million.

they can't afford him
he's 32 has 18 months on his contract , and is worth far more to us than any team will be willing to pay for him , no one will bid more than £2-3M for him, and he is WORTH far more than that to us

Can't see him going anywhere. He's 32, lives in Derbyshire, is getting more positive press now than ever before in his life and he owes Stoke one for sticking by him when he broke his leg whilst on loan from Sunderland.
Having said that he'd fit straight into Bolton's team and in theory could help to keep them up more than any other Premiership side, without a doubt.
Verdict - Rory to remain a potter

No chance - he is too wise to know he's onto a good thing here - he will play here for two more seasons then maybe drop down the leagues. He'd have a great time in the conference in 5 or 6 years time!

ID is spot on, Delap is a major source of goals with his throws as well as his general all round play.
If we stay up it's worth tens of millions and Rory will be a major part in us securing that target. Even if someone offered £6 or £7 million we'd be silly to take it and frankly he ain't worth it to anyone else cos his sell on value will be zero
Rory is a Stokie end of!

When have you not known supa Tone to have a plan B, sure if he ever considers selling Rory he will have a bigger thrower in the pipeline

I like this statement taken from the Independent.ie Delap's value to Stoke is probably greater than £1.5m, but if an offer in that region was made then he and the club could be tempted. But given that Delap has become an emblem of Stoke's fine season, it is hard to imagine manager Tony Pulis contemplating selling the midfielder. Why the hell would we be tempted with 1.5M???

As a few have said, if we stay up then that makes him worth 30-60 mill for us. I don't see anyone coming in for him, they know he will be almost priceless to Stoke this year, and I cant see the likes of Bolton spending 10mill on another player this year (never mind a 32 year old mid). Even though he's 32, I can see Rory giving us a good 3 more years if we stay at this level, he getting on but seems to keep himself in shape. The only way I see him going in that time span is if we devalop like Portmouth did under Rednapp and therefore the 'throw' is surpless to requirements. Take the trow away and I still think he deserves his place at the moment though.
