Tony's Travel Target Posted on: Thu 06 Nov 2008
City boss Tony Pulis is targeting maximum points from this Saturday's Barclays Premier League trip to Wigan Athletic.
Despite an encouraging start to the campaign, City have picked up just one point on the road, an extremely creditable goalless draw at Anfield.
And while four wins at the Britannia Stadium have ensured a mid-table spot so far, Pulis says it is vital to get up and running away from The Britannia Stadium.
"We probably haven't had the little bit of luck we need on the road," he told Stoke City World.
"We got a very good point at Liverpool where no one gave us a chance, and at Middlesborough I thought we were very unlucky.
"We also had chances at Manchester City, and despite the scoreline we were in that game.
"It isn't affecting the players at the moment but it would be nice to put it to bed and get that first win on the road.
"Wigan are a good side, they spent a lot of money in the summer but it is a game which I believe we are capable of winning."
