Do you think Ricardo Fuller could be the best striker this club has seen since the legendary BIG John Ritchie??

Hmm thats a big shout, Ritchie was immense, but there is also Greenhoff, Steino and Thorney. Fuller is definately up amongst it tho, the guy is a legend.

Of course, not forgetting Mike Sheron

Sheron, Thorne, Fuller & Stein are all in the same mould for me....
all absolute great aquisitions to the club at the time..

been watching since Sept 78
Stein is the best for me.
Fuller is a thrilling player to watch though.

Fuller is a class act no doubt about it. But players like Ritchie and Greenhoff did the business year in year out at the top level. Ritchie for example scored at a rate of a goal every two games for over ten years in the top flight and he and Greenhoff both made loads of chances for their strike partners and other players in the team. I'd say both of them were a class above Fuller but he and Steino may be the best we have had since then.

I dont think Fuller should be given a 'legend' status having only scored around 30 odd goals for the club, and given the short time he's been at Stoke?!?!?

I disagree, the man is immense, every time he gets the ball he creates something, we have been craving that for a long time, he excites the fans and definately ranks alongside other legends such as Steino and Thorney.

Fuller must have MADE 30 goals too in that time (@ least) & often out of nothing.

The only player to ever come close to matching the individual skills of Fuller in a stoke shirt is Peter Beagrie.

nah,Chamberlain was 10x as talented as Beagrie.

I'm sorry but a 'legend' for me (in football terms) would be players such as: Alan Shearer Greenhoff Le tissier
Players that performed year in year out for their clubs at the highest level

in many ways fuller and ritchie are alike though both are brilliant in the air (obviously ritchie was better but you cant say that fuller can get up brilliantly) both were tall, both fair nifty on the feet (i'd give flair to fuller but brute force to ritchie) i really like fuller and i do think if he stays he will continue to get alot of goals for stoke city and be rembered as one of the greatest strikers to have ever played at stoke city, hes with ease the best striker to grace The Britannia Stadium

The only player to ever come close to matching the individual skills of Fuller in a stoke shirt is Peter Beagrie. And NOBODY had the individual skills of Hoekstra.
