If we did pull them, and at home, i think it would be a certainty for Sky or BBC to televise!
I'd like the idea of going away, but think would probably be better for both clubs to have at the Brit, would be a great day eitherway!

no ta.never want to play Vale again at any level. friendlies, reserves nothing.
Derby games go like this: scenario A: Vale win & all agrre their carpet football deservedly came through scenario B:Stoke win & all agree that dirty Stoke kicked unlucky Vlae off the park scenario C; A draw & all agree initially that it was a close thing only for all to aggree about two days later that Vale murdered Stoke.

This. I could still see them winning 1-0 with their only shot of the game while we hit the post, bar, keeper's arse, Rory chucks three directly into the net, the ball is abducted by aliens on the goal line. I'd just as soon never, ever play them again.

why the hell would we ever want to play the vale again??? They are not our rivals, they are just another local side who we can keep track of, like Newcastle Town or Knypersely Victoria (i've always liked Knypersley, being a Tunstall boy myself).

another vote for never play them again. That's just as much to do with "I hate derby matches' than simply detesting Vale.
In fact, they'd completely slipped my mind until this thread brought them back up (like a puddle of unwanted sick).

With Tone in charge I reckon we'd thump them. There fans would then start saying "oh we havent been rivals for years" even though they are fascinated with our great club. If thy won however they'd proclaim themsleves the best in the potteries. And how annoying would that be in the work place.

Love to draw them away!!
Be a proper cup tie in front of a full house. I just hope they get that far.
