Did Tony Pulis buy Delap and just came across this tactic and thought lets give it a go OR was it all part of a 3 year plan to get Stoke into the Premier League and maybe even stay there????
Is this the reason why he signed him from Sunderland and stood by him and stuck with him when he broke his leg???
Kept him in the team..........when the majority of honest fans could not understand why he was still being played??
Be interesting to find out if it was a master plan and a major piece in Pulis's jigsaw...........
Any thoughts?? Yeah yeah ok i hear you say who cares BUT......

Strange how most of his previous clubs' fans couldn't remember him having a long throw. I reckon it was his ability to work hard first and foremost and the howitzers were a fkin great bonus!

I was so pleased the club honoured the deal with the black cats after the broken leg saga, there were some doubters about him being good enough for our push to the prem so a big well done to all concerned who played their part in keeping him here, and of course it was a master plan by Pulis.

I don't understand how Southampton make such good players seem so bad - Fuller, Higgy and Delap - they even called him DeCrap! Oh well, their loss is our gain!
